Well since we have been having a bit of inactivity with our helpers im just going to through this out there. Next meeting we will talk about the composition of the board and work on the details of it. I found blue foam board 10 bucks for the 1/2 inch and 13 for the full 1inch. So be there or be square ok.......

Everyone working on the table should do a couple of layout drawings and we can compare notes and concepts
I have 2 done and trust me I am no artist
Bretonnia or emprie town? ( I was thinking about a grail shrine in the middle of town or battle field)

Michaels $17.71 Lowe's $52.60
This is how much I have spent for the table so far. This is so we have a written record of how much has been spent on the board.

Well sweet we got a good deal of the planning aspect done. Sean Randy and I ran a non objective free for all. Using the warhammer skirmish rules in the back of the 6th edition rule book. They seem to run very well. Next time we will talk about setting up objectives for each faction and try to work a scenario around it.

ya it looked to run pretty smooth when you guys were playing. I have a few questions though:
Is there no terrain within a 12" radius of the center?
Are we still doing teams of skirmish or just a few characters?
Rules play out the same as a normal game (i.e. charge, move, magic, shoot, combat)?
It's looking very good though.

Sunday the 20th we cut the board into sections and maped the non-movable river out and the hills on grid paper and called it a night
We also talked to John about ordering the woodland scenic items from him and he showed us there website to start looking for items we want for the board

Aaron and I started sanding the board, 2 of the 3 sections are all ready to be sharpied down. This saturday at 1 we will work on the table. The main objective is to get the board grided down and all that fun jazz and talk about how we are going to do the river which will be difficult the water affects through woodland scenics will cost us $32 if we do it. We might want to do the jell stuff that is used for fake fish tanks might be cheaper not too sure about that though.
Also it should be noted that how much time you put into the board (building and planning) will reflect how much you have to pay and how much time you have to spend at the table during games day. I have been keeping track of the amount of time each has spent:
Me(Ian) 17 Randy 16 Sean 15 Aaron 12.5 Adam 6 Matt 2
Now I do not want to hear about any whinning. I am not anyone's mother it is each person's responsibility to make sure they know when we are meeting and I will try to call people if they do not already know about it. I will not pry you away from things you are doing at meetings or anything like that if you want to help that is completely up to you.
I will have a meeting with the exec. board members eventually for thier advice on how costs should be split.
It also should be noted that I do not have to be at everything you. Guys are allowed to plan board things too and if I can't make it thats my loss.
Also make sure you have down that Chicago Games Day is on July 27-28. As of now I am not sure which day is for us pretty sure it is the saturday.
Chicago, Illinois
We have spent Michaels $17.71 Lowe's $52.60 Michaels $8.06 OBG $18.09
