I'm thinking of hosting a summer campaign for BFG, with all sorts of fun things like boarding actions being played out in 40k, planetary assaults, and etc! Post if you're interested.

I would like to throw down, but I choose orks as my bfg fleet and I do not have any orks for 40k im not so sure how this would work out.......

I don't think it'll matter that your "ground" army matches your "space" army. I wouldn't touch the Tau BFG minis even if they were almost, almost free I think they just look terrible.

I already told you I have orks you can use, doo-doo head.
Unless you want to miss out on some fun, I'd suggest having the same army as you do fleet. I'll be mixing in the two systems.
There is no space army, Tom. It's called a fleet.

I seriously have to have a Tau Fleet? wtf? Why's that? I wouldn't pay a $1 for those minis. Who cares if the BFG fleet doesn't match the 40K army?  Heck I'd even be willing to proxy Imperial Navy ships using the Tau rules; I just don't want to pay $ for those things... Btw I find it odd you mention this now when I've been stating for a while I wanted a Imperial Navy BFG fleet and obviously don't have Imperial Guard...  |

No, you don't have to have a Tau fleet, I'm just saying if you want the full experience of the campaign, you'll want a fleet and army of the same race.
You have IG models, and I have IG models you can use too. Don't worry.

Oh goodie thanks for clearing that up ^_^ I'm happy now. Heck, by that time, ironically, I may even have a small Imperial Guard army so I may end up getting the "full experience" that way.
Btw Andrew, how would you feel about me proxying a Tyranid fleet with say green stuff, plasticard and extra 'Nid bits? I ask only cause this option would be much cheaper than buying even a used BFG fleet.

Perfectly acceptable, so long as it looks good and one can get guestimate what the ship is by looking at it.

There are like virtually no Tyranid BFG ships as it is; the two ones I know off of the top of my head are the hive ship thingy with arms sticking out the butt and them a lump of rock with talons coming out of the sides. Both should be relatively easy to sculpt/scrounge up even for an amateur like me. Interesting, I'll look more into this even if I do wind up getting a Imperial Navy fleet; more variety.

Yea we will. First, let's decide on a weekly date to try and meet up. I'd like to start maybe the beginning of June (or earlier!) and conclude around school starting.

So now I do have an orc fleet so I can play I have about 1500 pts. My brother will not be here this summer so no BFG for him sadly.......
Shall we have a meeting about this in two weeks, say may 28th? Thats the same day we are going to have our exec board meeting.
