Well as promised I am starting this early...most will ask why so early and those who know me know it takes me forever to paint and this way i wont have to stay up 36 hours straight to get my army done (painted to 3 color minimum) and play in a tournament. So here is the first picture of my Adepticon 2010 Fantasy Team Tournament Army. Enjoy.

Yeah I started priming and cleaning on monday and after the gym. I started painting this guy last night. The bases are not snow by the way they just have a layer of celluclay on them.

Very nice! I'm trying to decide what to do myself. Adepticon has left me with the urge to paint _something_. I'm thinking perhaps rats, though for some reason, I really want to paint something big.

Not really much to add but I did get the celluclay all down on the bases.

Well Rios I decided not to go with snow for two reasons...one I dont think I have the talent to make it look right and two I dont have the stuff sitting on my painting table right now to do snow. The look I decided to go with is more of a barren grass land or such. I like the way it turned out. @ Gussie (james). Do you like this base type? Do you think you could or would want to base your army similar?

It looks real good. I'm curious how it will turn out on 20mm bases but I'm willing to give it a shot. Where can I get this celluclay? And what colors are you using for the wash/drybrush?
And you still haven't posted any riders! Haven't decided on a scheme yet?
I'm still thinking of rats. I'm not solid on a list yet, but among other things, rats allow us to field cheap blocks of 'slaves' to keep with the theme. I'm looking for models to use as slaves (I'd like some that actually look slavish) but haven't had much luck. Does anyone know of any line of 28mm minis that have 'slave' figures? Adepticon isn't GW 'official' so they don't have to be GW minis.
I'm working on a prototype Jezzail conversion. I'll have it painted next week and post a pic. Let me know if it's shit and I should just go ahead and shell out the cash for the real ones.

Celluclay can be picked up at most craft stores. Micheals and Hobby Lobby carry it. It comes in a big block and a little goes a long way. I have based 20 something guardsmen and five cold ones with it and I have barely used any.
I have yet to decide on a color scheme for the guys themselves...I am having a hard time thinking of one cause I dont want to go with the traditional purples and what not for them...Hopefully by end of weekend or early next week I will have a scheme for ya.
Color scheme for base is as such: Black base coat everything (ground and rocks) Ground: Brown drybrush, 2 : 1 Brown/White mix drybrush, white drybrush (very light on this) Rock: Pewter Grey drybrush, Counrty Grey drybrush, 50/50 mix of country grey and white drybrush.

Looking good man, you are becoming a better painter. Once I move I think I'm gonna do the whole workout after work and then paint. BTW I'm moving to Lombard, a short hop down 355 is good ol' frankfort.

Josh- those look fucking awesome. Seriously. Great work.
I have a Reaper dark elf sorceress model I won at Gencon last year, if you want it for free.

Thanks a lot man, praise from you means a lot.
I would be extremely interested in the Dark elf Sorceress. I need one for adepticon more than likely so it would be great.

Nothing's certain yet, but I may be helping to run the WFB team tournament for Adepticon next year.
I love those Cold One models without the riders; they're just so cool! Makes me want Dark Elves...almost. I have my chaos at the moment and I'm happy.
