Now that the Winter campaign has ended, what shall we do?
Greg and I were talking about some type of league- who would be up for that? What kind should we run? Do we want to chip in for prize support and run an unofficial Call to Arms type league (like the good old days) or do we want to try some new-fangled shit?
I am all for a good, old-fashioned league with challenges, rankings, etc. In the past, we all got together on one day a week, made most of our challenges and whatnot (based on rank- challenging up the ladder gained more league points if you won, etc), and there were weekly scenarios that you could choose to play (winning by scenario instead of just by caster kill got you more league points), and boasts you could take; lots of fun stuff. Plus, it was pretty flexible, as you could play your games any day of the week if you wanted, and didn't rely upon everyone showing up/staying the whole time to work. It was a lot of fun, pretty casual, and had prizes.
What does everyone else think?

I know that I am up for a league and so would Jason.
I think what you're talking about would be a great idea. And while I loved the campaign I think having one day a week to have a majority of people meet to play is great but not everyone's schedule can make that so having others schedule a game during the week would be a great thing.
Getting a prize pack would be cool too. Perhaps the kick off event would be the Resurgance event to give out medals. We can use the tourney to develop a "strength of schedule" for challenges.
While they want Resurgance to kick off event on the 22nd of January I have seen events posted all the way at the end of Feburary. But if we want the prize pack we probably want to register in the next two weeks.

I would be up for a League. Plus with the slightly more flexible schedule hopefully we would run into less problems than before.

Cool. I like the idea of the resurgence event- how would we run that? Could we do that out of club funds, or do we all just want to pitch in (treasurer?)?
Otherwise, we will have to designate somebody to run the technical aspects. Anybody?

I'm not part of the club but am more than happy with offering to handle, at least, part of the technical aspects if you want.

You should join so you can play in the WM tournament Thursday!
Oh, and as I finally have an army and have been playing, I'd be in with a league.

yes JOIN. Also, we have a little over $300 in club funs..but I think if we have enough people we can throw in $5 and get the kit no problem.

The Resurgance event is a one day thing but we could stretch things out after it.
I would be more than happy to help or run the technical stuff. It shouldn't be too bad. Plus if we get 8 people pitching 5 bucks each for the event (less if we have more people or we can get more kits...) then we can get the kit with five faction medals and one champ medal.
The haven't done the stuff for the summer event but this would be a good primer. start it in February and run it through the rest of the semester.

The old Summer Rampage rules are fun- they have little mini-feat "rampages" you can pull of once in the whole league, and you get league points for it.
The only things we would have to do is a little housekeeping with score cards and whatnot (which they might still have at the store), and developing weekly scenarios and weather conditions, if we want. It can be a collective effort, but we just have to make sure everyone is on the same page, and keeps up with their score cards, etc.

I picked up the scorecards in case we wanted to use them again, so they're currently in the trunk of my car.

I would absolutely be down for this. I thought the campaign went really, really well. We all got introduced to each other with a nice little group effort. I thank everyone for contributing and being helpful. It's also great to see WM/Hordes being revived in the club. While we do this league, I'll be working on another campaign that maybe we can run this coming summer. I'm going to work out storyline and all. It was frustrating to not have everyone there all the time, but I think it made for a really fun day, everyone grouped up, talking about WM/Hordes stuff. Playing, talking about lists and 'casters and all that stuff. If we do a league, I think the flex scheduling is probably the best idea. If we do another campaign, I'll most likely make it less people.
I think we should also consider going to adepticon as representatives of either NIMGC, or the store, itself. I'd like to see another store which has as devout a following as we have.
Anyways, keep me posted on what goes on with this league and count me and my $5 in.

I agree that we should represent as much as we can the Club at Adepticon. Club T-shirts can be bought and customized at the online store we purchase from. look in the trading post forum for the link. Also, I thin we should do another league no doubt.

Well it sounds like everyone is up for this idea.
If there is time and people on Thursday we can kick the idea around some more... also if anyone is available I am up for some more games on Saturday!

Well lets figure to be there by 12:30 for all interested in some pick-up games of WM/Hordes. That way we can hopefully put in a couple of games.
We could also talk about some league/tourney ideas too.
