As mentioned before, each player will have secret objectives they must complete. Some objective counters will also be on the table to capture; we will be using the 4th edition style for that, as for Apoc the 5th edition limitations are too, well, limited.
The second table will be much smaller, probably 4x6 or so. This table will be for a battle on the surface of Gerioh's moon, where a super-laser has been constructed by the Imperials. They will be in command of it at the start of the game and can land a large bombardment on the main table each turn. However, if the evil players can be holding them instead, they can land the bombardments where they choose.
That is, provided we have enough players...
As for the Necrons and Tyranids, here is their special rule: The Harvest/Consumption Begins - At the start of the shooting phase, if any allied units are within 12" of a Necron/Tyranid unit with a ranged weapon, they may choose to shoot at that unit instead, as all slaves/biomass must be harvested. In that same shooting phase, that targeted unit may return fire.

I actually am not sure if I will be able to participate, as things have come up. However I'll be able to know for sure closer to the date.

Okay folks, the date has changed to the 21st, as Saturday is reserved for Magic lameness. Bear will get there early or stay late to accomodate though.
Also, I'd like everyone to post a list of things they're likely going to bring for their 4000 points. I'll start in the Army List section.
Keep checking for updates.

Once again I am considering moving the day for this. Jim, Friz, and Greg are all not coming unless it's a different day...so would the next weekend work for everyone?

Hey. I can be there. I can easily bring 4000 pnts of chaos/daemons. Is the date for sure doing to be 2/21 or has that changed, bc I need to know when I need to ask off 3 weeks ahead of time. Let me know. I also have necrons I can throw in the mix. How are strategic assets going to work? If we get them as part of our formation do we get to use those or, are u going to limit the strategic assets per player?

And further more to add to what kyle said...three weeks in advance is now for the 20/21st.
We should get this down. We won't please everyone. If I can't make it...oh shit, I can't make it. No big deal lol.
I do have plans that weekend to go down to Purdue for my brothers birthday. So if its on the 20th then oh well maybe next time lol.

It's not that I want to please anybody, far from it; I'm missing out on a fair few players I'd like to be there (now, including myself!).
So, I will officially change the date (no more I promise!) to Sunday, March 7th. This is the weekend after our anniversary, so be there or eat babies like Caleb.
@ Kyle: Pick a single army; if you can't do it, pick two allied (Chaos and Necrons are not allied). Strategic assets are, as it says, you get to pick any single one. You also obviously get any that come with Formations.

Is anyone interested in doing a smaller apocalpypse game on the 21st as a warm up to the big event? Let me know if you are interested and I will try to get something together for that day. I know I have the day off. If I get enough interest over the weekend I will create a new event topic for that day and try to get something together.
I am not sure yet if I will be able to make it on the 7th. I am waiting to hear back from my work, but I should know within the next week.

Since I've been absent from the forums for a while, just clarifying given that they're multiple Toms here now, that I'm Thomas Dady.
Just popping up to say for sure that I'd like to participate in the Apocalypse mission if there's any room left. I believe that two sides (given army types) are preferred, so here's what I have available and toss me wherever you guys deem appropriate:
Tyranids: Unsure, Haven't read new codex, but probably 1500-2000 (looking to sell these officially now, either to a club member or on ebay by the end of March).
Imperial Guard: 2000 (could easily go higher with upgrade spam)
Inquisition (Demon/Witch Hunters): 1 squad of sisters, GK termies and GK troops, with 25 GK termies bought on the cheap ^_^ that'll here by the end of the week. So all together, 2000 probably with pumped up upgrades.
Tau: 2000
I'd be interested in a "warm-up" Apoc battle too btw.

It looks like I have just two people interested in getting together this sunday for a warm up Apoc battle. Post the armies you are bringing. I am shooting for 4000 pnts so that people can get some practice and try out tactics with their armies. Also it will be a good chance to discuss tactics and strategies with your team for March 7th.
Also Andrew I am bringing a chaos space marine/demons army if my work gives me that day off and I will have 4000 pnts for sure if not more. And are the teams set yet for March 7th, bc I figured if guys can meet this sunday it would be a good chance to talk about what their team is going to try to do. I should be there this thursday also.

I actually have a DnD campaign this Sunday from (roughly) 4:00 PM onwards. If we showed up around noon to throw ideas around and practice a little, then I'd be able to do that. However, I'm not sure if there's even room for me at the moment or what team I'd even be on (thus determining army selection).
