Well, I would like to have a campaign this spring. We have two choices, and if neither seem good, then blegh. But anyways...
We can have a Fantasy map campaign, based in the Valley of Grismerie. I have all the rules for it and stuff; it'd be a lot like the one last spring, but Bretonnian themed. I'd be an NPC, not capturing anything. Come to me my pretties...
Or, I can play another person (Josh or Glenn) in a little BFG campaign. I'd play other people, but alas, nobody else has a fleet.

you should play a campaign that the most of our members have a chance to partake in. Thats my opinion.

we already had a 40k tourney (which most of our club has armies in and it would be redundant to have one two semesters in a row), fantasy is next, followed by warmachine. I understand why andrew would pick fantasy over warmachine, as more people have fantasy and it would be a little ridiculous for him to buy an entire warmachine army, paint it, and then plan a campaign around the system that what 10 people have armies in. like he said though, you can vote against it if you have a better idea.

people can participate in whatever they want...im sure that there will be a group of people doing their own thing while the campaign will be going on anyways

I don't have a fantasy army, but I wholly support a Fantasy Campaign. I figure the Campaign should really benefit the most people possible and since 40k had its time in the sun last semester, it's only fair to go to Fantasy.

Okay, John and I will be hammering out the details on Monday. It's gonna be good. Everybody say "I" for who wants in. We have room for 9 total, and so far we have:
Andrew - Bretonnians
Randy - Hordes of Chaos!
Ian - Empire
Josh - Empire
August - Dwarves
As you can see, we're preferably looking for 4 more evil players. Otherwise we might have some infighting amongst us. It doesn't mean more good players can't join, however...
I would do a warmachine one, but I wouldn't know where to start.

I can do 2000 comfortable with an almost completely painted army.

Because I'm thinking 1800pt banners (as is suggested). That way, people who are fortified or reinforced aren't stuck getting more points than they have.

I say make it 1500pt. banners because with reinforcements and fortifications and such even at 1800 you can go over 2000 quick. At 1500 you have 500 points to work with which should cover most situations. Just my opinion...if thats not what you wanna do then stick to 1800, I am fine with that.

alright...its just that when campaigns are running and all that...no one plays anything else. I think I am one of the only frequent club attendees that doesn't have one nor can I afford one. truthfully though a lot of members do have warmachine. Prolly about near equal to fantasy now.
Hey Matt how bout you come up here and play? :-P maybe then I will kick you in the shin mwahahah!

Campaigns you dont have to pay to participate in.
Campaigns=mutiple week with a story line and usually a map or something
Tournament=one day event you pay to be part of cause it has a prize.
As far as i know you will not have to pay to be part of this.

Remember that I have 6 armies
all but dwarfs I can get over 2500
so if you need something other than bretonnia vs. empire with some dwarf interference I can use one of my other armies

I have plenty points to fill 1800 pts. I think 18oo is fine so we can do some larger games with this campaign but it is a smaller map than the one we did last year.
