Due to high demand and after talking it over with Ian, he and Andrew will figure out the rules for the mega-battle that will take place at our first meeting August 30th...so far as follows
-1250 pts -objectives to win -12x4 table -more to come

Neo has a point. It's doable seeing as how each side takes a while to dork through a turn.... 1250 points... that's gona be rough... wonder if I can squeeze both og my assault marine squads into that...

Any limitations on army setup besides the obvious HQ and two troop choices. Limiting any certain choices after that?

Still working on it. However, a body count (err, head count) would be good for planning purposes. How many have we?
Andrew - Undecided. Could be Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar, or Imperial Guard Richard - Space Marines Ian/Legolas - Space Marines Ian/Giant? - Dark Eldar or Chaos Glenn - Chaos Tom - Tau Alex - Tau Andrew Delso - Eldar Frizzel - Eldar
Who knows on limitations; heck, we might do only Elites and Troops for all we know so far. It's going to be fun having everyone around to play, and introduce people who haven't met yet.

Depending on what I bring...I might play...I wont play both games at once...and while I would like to play my guard army in the 40K game...I would also really like to get some warmachine in with the redcoat gamers...so dont put down as definite with either. Frizzel will probably take part in the 40k battle too.

Otho you know you want to field your Guard the grunts should be present during the apocalypse...

I was browsing online and it seems that many of the races are going to get an apocalypse box thing, saw a photo that had like 12 crisis suits in one . also heard Tyranids are getting one i wonder what that's going to have?

"Meh" to all of the Apocalypse stuff, but a few. I think only the tank company would be useful, since it's a real army list already. The rest is just nutty. I am happy though; apparently there will be a Land Raider Terminus, making it the 4th variant of the tank. Unfortunately it looks kinda dumb, what with 8 lascannons: But hey, y'know, whatever some newbie designer wants to do...

lol, well i was mainly interested because i've taken to the "poor-hammer" way of hobbying/miniature gaming so any box sets will = money saved over buying seperate. yeah that land raider seems well rather lame... what good is a 250+ tank if it dies the first turn?

Plenty, because I use them and they last many turns. I love tanks, and people tend to have trouble killing them because of that. Even my rhinos last most of the game. Even against Tau, with your high-and-mighty railguns, they live, because Tau suck. =P

"Sir, we can not move down this narrow street because the buildings would rip off our twin-linked las cannons." I have to agree with Neo... first or second turn death doesn't make any sort of land raider apealing.
With regard to the 'Nids and apocalypse, with the current trend towards big scary heavy support, I would assume that they would be getting a box of multiple Carnifexes (Carnifi?).

I might be in the minority here, but any time i can field more las cannons, it's all the better to destroy things with. Just chant at your enemies to go towards the light, those las cannon blasts will do the rest. But i also think i'll stick with my crusader version myself. My Chaplain and his Termies need their ride.

Like in the Brazilian Simpsons episode, "It's Carnival!" Have no idea on the correct pluralization, nor on the Carnival! box. Looks like they have box of 2-3 Tyrants with guard, a mini-bug swarm box, and a vanguard army box. But then I'm sure they'll keep releasing things until people stop buying them.

Who ever could've guessed that a company from England, once home to the most wide-spread Empire on Earth, would have any experience with corporate thinking? .

Just for that comment about my wonderfully manga/anime Tau Andrew i'll vaporize your rhinos and leave you not even with their charred, torn remains to hide behind ;D.

Meh. I'll say "angled armor plating" as you shoot, and it'll just bounce off.
