The walls of the castle looked stained with blood with the setting of the sun. Lord Varius Cennicus looked out over the enormous city that surrounded his castle. No living army could take this fair city and yet Cennicus was not free from fear for it was not the living he feared. Rumors had been arriving from various outlying parts of his kingdom of the dead walking again...spirits had always been part of life in the world of Taveone but lately they had been getting worse. The sun slowly went behind the trees and it began to get dark. Lord Cennicus knew he and his city were safe for now but how long could the magics of the academy hold back the dead. Never before had spirits been able to enter his fair city yet not more than a month ago hundreds had died when spirits had overrun the protective runes on the walls. The academy had come up with better weapons to fend off the dead but that only saved the people of the cities. Already Lord Cennicus could see the strangely colored wisps of light in the forest to the west and then in the swamp to the south...the light were always strongest in the east though...Lord Cennicus feared what troubles lay ahead for his people.
Sir Evroul lived in the Small town of Gillicks south of Gilesbury( the third largest city in the country). Gillicks like many towns on the southern road was built along the Pulcher River. Sir Evroul had been knighted by Lord Cennicus himself after a daring rescue of some of the Academys men in the War of Thorns. Evroul waited now for his friends to show up at his home. He stood outside his home looking east towards the Mounds of Maghara, really a vast land of hills and rocks but some said the ancient Magharan emperors were buried underneath some of those hills. Evroul didnt care about ancient emperors what he did care about was the unearthly glow that seemed to rise from the east everynight. He hoped his friends would show up soon...he hated waiting.

It was against his sense of duty that he waited. Evroul wanted nothing more than to go out and defend his town and people, to destroy whatever evils lurked eastward. He swore an oath to his lord and himself when he was knighted to do so, and at the moment he was forced into non-action. But to go out alone was to invite death, he reasoned. So he waited.

my character's storyline:
Sir Meadowlark Osby son of Dooshayus Minimus
Sir MO engaged in much action training in his time, training everyday for the fight of his life. While being very skilled, he's also very "overconfident" bc of the training. Before and after training the Lord enjoyed a nice cool goblet of dragonade, the local area's training enhancer. No one ever knew what was in this drink because the ingredients were secret, but those ingredients gave people the will to train longer and harder. The only downside to this drink is that it caused premature baldness. One day, a local homosexual man put on a demonstration to boycott the drink bc the men of the land no longer had long flowing hair. Sir MO became so enraged (bad temper) that this happened seeing how it resulted in his favorite drink to no longer be distributed. He had to change his training regimine and just decided one day to put his skills to the test and not only hunt down that sissy man, but get the brew redistributed. He has a pirate's code of honor, bloodlust to kill the man, bad temper bc of the situation, long-term obsession, overconfident and impulsive for action. Hopefully, Sir MO will meet up with other adventurers to help fulfill his task.

Grageon Tarmikos was raised from a very young age to be a mage, and was provided with all the materials needed from his rich parents. He was also taught the proper mannors and rhetorical skills to get along with the lords. When he was accepted into the academy he was one of the youngest and most promising students. He never failed to solve any problem and never expects to. He has gained a since of belonging to the Wizards of the academy and will never betry them. He spends most of his time studying in his room with no sounds and gets very annoyed when he hears loud noises. He has always obsessed over his spikey blue hair and cleans it as soon as it gets too drity. When he is at the academy he trys to stay on the same floor so he doesnt have to use the stairs too much. Recentlly, his father was killed in a freak occurance where he was striked by a meteor in the head. Ever since then grageon has been paranoid about a meteor messing up his hair and every so often at night watches the sky. Ironiclly his father was watching a puppet show about the god of shooting stars when this happened, so now he hates puppets in all their forms. because he has always had money and lived in a life of privlige he has never really like beggers and becomes irrate when he sees one, he finds them lazy. Now, his enduring curiousity is leading him to adventure and learn every thing possible he can about it.

Sir Evroul sat silently at the table waiting for the knock of his friends at the door. Sir Meadowlark Osby and Grageon Tarmikos. Evroul had met Meadowlark when in training for the military... the two had become quick friends despite Meadowlarks belligerent nature and obsession with destroying one man from his home town. The two did share an unwavering loyalty to Lord Cennicus. Evroul had met Tarmikos in the War of Thorns. Tarmikos had been one of the men that Evroul had rescued and they quick became friends after this. Though both men are strange they can be counted on in a fight...which is what Evroul believed was coming.

Cause the GM says so, lol. Disagree with him and your character suddenly finds a trap door to the bottom of the earth. In other words, go with it! Besides, I'm a knight, you're a spellcaster. When invading armies occupied your land, yes you could throw spells at them but sooner or later they'll bust down your door, and then what? Out of spells and not very strong, you'd get captured.

The reason why u were captured in the War of Thorns is to link your character and Andrews character together. It makes sense because in previous story Sir Evroul was knighted for rescuing members of the Academy(Which u r part of) in the War of Thorns. He recued you...why u were captured who knows...andrew is correct in saying that u would run out of energy, mages are powerful but not invincible. That would explain that.

Oh and about the angry god that promotes revenge...Both u and andrews characters are somehow linked to the Military of the land...so u both kinda follow a semi-church (not a church in the christian/muslim/jewish form of church but more in a Roman Legion Cult type church.) It is almost a Cult of the Warrior that the military would follow and semi-worship.

There are many facets, and while Matt's character sticks closer to the revenge side, my character delves more into another part, where things are to live in harmony. etc. So I'm not angry, not pacifistic. I just do it.

Sir MO is not evil, he's just a very angry paladin. Like Andrew's character, he still has a sense of honor and duty (be it for very odd circumstances), but still would not just kill random people to get his way. Instead he would physically threaten them to give him information that he needs to fulfill his quest. The man is huge and is very skilled in combat, but the overconfidence that developed from that could be his downfall. He also dabbles in learning arts of divine powers as he is a paladin. He just needs to control himself and not jump to conclusions to reach his full potential.
