I'm taking a cue from Privateer's organized play and running a continuous skirmish at On Board Games.
If any of you are framiliar with the Hordes STAMPEDE event you'll have a good idea of what's going on here.
When: Sunday, July 13th from 1pm-7pm
Rounds: n/a
Army Size: 1000 pts.
Entrance: $5 or $15 purchase that day
Format: This is gonna be a little different that what most of you are used to in a standard 40K RTT. There are no rounds. When one game ends, another starts. Players will be paired off on tables and fight it out. Who-ever wins stays at that table and and is now the defender of that table against a new attacker. If the the attacker beats a defender that player is now the defender and defends that table till he loses. Number of defenses, number of times defeating a defender and other numbers will all be important! Games should be quick and you should be fighting alot of different people.
This is an overdrive exposure to the new 5th edition rules. Who will grasp them the quickest? A quick-reference guide to major changes will be available before the event starts at 1pm and I'll be on-hand to go over rules issues/questions.
This should be a really exciting and fun event, and get everyone really rolling into 5th Edition! I look forward to seeing everyone out!
