The Birth of a Dead Warpwolf

Here is a progression of the work I have put into my Zombie Warpwolf thus far...

First, the sculpting/assembly...


Next, the head (if the face is finished, it usually motivates me to finish the whole figure... It gives it life, so I usually do faces first.

Notice I took the Feralgeist off for painting purposes... He will go back on absolutely last.
Here is the progress I made yesterday and today. I still need to finish the lower armor/body, the guts and gore, plus the base.
(The head came out fuzzy, but you already saw that)


And the Feralgeist, which I am very pleased with thus far...



Ah... completion is tantalizingly close... Soon...

Nice. What was your process for painting the feralgeist?

It's all acrylics (which is weird for me). I started with a GW 'Snot Green' base coat over black primer. From there, I added layer after layer of a P3 Necrotite Green Glaze (watered down about 1:1) on all ov the highlighted areas. The numerous glaze highlights built up a soft glowing effect, which I then added a few glazes of P3 Cygnus Yellow, and finally some very light glazes of P3 Morrow White to accent certain areas (skull, claws, faces, teeth). Lastly, I took some GW Orc Flesh Ink and darkened some of the eyes and details of the faces. It took about 3 hours of continuous work.

I attached the Feralgeist and have the Warpwolf himself 99% done. Now all I have to do is sculpt the feralgeist into place, paint him, finish basing him, and I will be done.

Looks great and its not even done...I think this is your best to date. From a uniqueness standpoint for sure. This will place for sure I think.
