Just to preface- No, I did not start playing 40K again. I am doing this guy for the golden demons next year. Just getting a good head start, since I have my work cut out for me with the upcoming fantasy table, etc. Anyway, I really liked the idea of the Soul Grinder, though the plastic execution was kind of... lacking. Hence, I got all Nurgle on his ass and came up with this (keep in mind most of his limbs are not really coneccted yet- they are just kind of sitting in place, so that accounts for some of the gaps and such) Thanks to Andrew for some bits that contributed to the conversion (though you can't see them all yet). Anyway, I am going to try to make him truly revolting when I paint him, with weeping sores, exposed fat tissue in the Nurgle symbol carved in his stomach, a parasitic twin in his armpit, whole nine yards. Lemme know what you think, any recommendations before I start priming and painting him.

Just a thought for when you paint him (and you might already be doing it) I really like the rust look you did on your Cryx figures and I bet this guys metal lower half would look really good with a rusted look. Just my opinion. Looks amazing...I really want to see the parasitic twin you are talking about.

I'm way ahead of you. I figured the rust effects I used for my Cryx would be perfect for a Nurgle vehicle. Plus, I am going to paint his torso in a manner similar to my Bile Thrrall.

Very nice. It will look amazing. I figured you would have already thought of it but I figured i would add my request for it.

Ah, so you took some of those Possessed spikes too. Neat. I'm glad you went with the sword over the claw as well, since I think it can be far more decrepit-looking if done right. It should definitely look like it's rusting away, but still deadly. I suppose look at the right hand and the harvester gun next to it. It has a weird look to it, with the smooth curve under the gun and above the hand. Maybe make that more Nurgley?

I was gonna make that curve rusty and decrepit, so hopefully that works out. I actually ordered the possessed spikes (along with some other nurlgy-bits) from battlewagon bits, since I had to reorder Procreate anyway.

No. It hit the backburner shortly after I last posted. I don't know when I will pick it up again. Some time before Games Day, hopefully.
P.S.- I still have that awesome IG command squad that I never finished painting- you interested in that?
