I myself don't play that those, but there were talks about those too. Only problem is we've had a considerable drop off in players of those systems.

I can actually answer the question about Warmachine/hords we will also have a tournament for them. We have not hammered out the details just yet, we have been more concerned about the fundraisers we are going to do.

K, so what day is this going to be?
Who all will be playing?
What are the missions?
I'm playing, and Frizzel is my teammate. No negotiations. =P

It's like the first or second week of november, I forget which date we settled on offhand. It's just going to be standard missions each round, rolling each time for what to do. We might just set the missions and deployment types, but not sure yet on that. Sorry Andrew, Bill and I are teaming up for this. I'm sure you'll find a partner for it.

Well fine Mr. Doodyhead. I'm gonna team up with Nicole since she has Chaos. Yea! Bam! You'll get beat by a girl! hehe. Besides, I don't wanna be on the same side as Ghaz anyway. 1/3 of your army into one model? Quick loss if he's on my side...

Who says I'm using Ghaz? Who says I'm even playing orks at all?! Huzzah! Element of surprise!

Not sure if I've posted this before, but Carl (doesn't check up on the forum and only recently learned of its existance I think) and I are teaming up for the team tourney. Should be interesting... Chimeras and Devilfish ftw.
On second thought, that sounds more amusing than fear-inducing.

This tournament sounds like a great idea. It'd be awesome to get a date ASAP since I'll be bringing a teammate from out of state (another NIU alum who'll be joining the club that day) so he knows when he has to take off work.
I'm not sure how much "suggesting power" I have as a brand new member, but I'd suggest having no limitations on which armies can team up with which. If the ultimate goal is fun, why limit craziness like orks/nids or eldar/chaos? Or tau/orks? That's a surefire cure for the blues. But I do think each team should try to come up with a (very brief) fluffy story for how their two armies happened to end up in the same place fighting on the same side, however unlikely it may be.
But... yeah... put me down for a team whenever we get this going.
Thanks! -John B.

There are no limitations on which armies may team up. Chaos and eldar can walk hand in hand against orks riding tyranids. Ian found the date we had settled on, and it's going to be November 13th during club time, so probably starting around 7-ish.
Argh, I'm having memory issues. I had originally wrote that it was the 14th, but it is indeed Thursday the 13th.

I want to see an Ork riding a Carnifex if Orks/Nids team up ^_^.
Question: Since this is a team game, theoretically, would IG benefit from the effects of Tau Markerlights? Cause if not I'd be happy to go air-cavalry and laugh as anything beyond 12" tries to shoot down my 'fish.

Nope, this happened before when I was using orks with August's tau during the team battle in the spring league last year. It says in the codex or wherever about markerlights, that only tau units benefit from them. Andrew should be able to back me up on this one since he was the one that found it. My bad again on that one. Stupid cheatyface august. lol

At Target in the halloween section, there are cheapy little packages of trophies for $1.99. 6 trophies, 2 sets of 1st-3rd. They have a gay halloween sticker on the cup, but that can be painted over black and then NIMGC put on it. I suggest our club buy like two packages, then we'll have neat trophies for quite a few tournaments. In addition, think about buying a box of plastic bloodletters, and sticking them on top of the trophies, as the base size is about the same size as the cup. Undercoat them black, then drybrush gold, silver, and bronze for the three places. I think that would be AWESOME for club trophies to give out at any event.
