I hope you have FAQ's available, because GW took all Fantasy FAQ's off their website, how lame. That might be important for people that don't know I can combat cast Invocation.
How power gamey of a scene can I expect up there? Laid back, hard core, somewhere in the middle?
Is it looking like a good mix of armies, or mostly High Elves? (I hate High Elves with an intense passion after having to play only against them in a tournament once)

I'll try and gather them again, had my laptop stolen over the weekend, so I cannot promise till I do a little searching myself. With regards to your specific question, I will include it in the FAQ that will be in everyone's tournament package.
I know most the guys coming and all fun players/decent guys. If I had to use a label, which I hate to do, I would say it is a strong mix. You will see fluff guys and power players.

I have had a few questions about whether or not I will allow unpainted models. I understand the concern, being the holidays, so I am going to allow unpainted models with the following conditions:
1. 25% rule; No more than 25% of the models fielded can be unpainted. WYSIWYG will still be required.
2. A player's appearance score will be negatively impacted.
I am hoping that everyone will only bring painted stuff, but again, I understand how the holidays can be on hobby time, so I hope this help to calm down any concerns.

I know, I know, dumping 400 points into characters should be a waste, but they've never, ever let me down; it's two sisters creating their army of doom. One totally annihilates characters and sometimes units, while the other boosts my unit combat potential and makes them enormous. The wraiths are great for various reasons (especially shooting and into combat, and terror). It's what I've used before plenty of times.
The second incorporates more fluff. The Lahmians have seduced a Bretonnian Knight (swain from the last edition), who brought along his own contingent of soldiers, and as they are as skilled as skeletons, it works out. The only problem is that they aren't painted and they don't have the abilities of wraiths. Also, trying to summon into three different units of skeletons starts to task the vampires' abilities. Two is sometimes tough, even without really worrying about the wraiths.
Suggestions?

I play an army similar to the first one and it's very solid at 1000 points. If I were to pick, I would go with the first army.
