After weighing different options back and forth the past few weeks, I've decided what I'd like to do for my new army. I'm going to to with good old Daemonhunters. Don't worry Delso, there won't be a single Grey Knight involved at all. I really like the inquisition material that I see, and the fact I can ally IG or marines kicks ass. I was tossing around the idea of the IG, but after orks I really don't want to do a horde army. I really don't want to do full fledged space marines either as a lot of those armies have sprung up. I know I can't use both allies at once currently, but a small force of each gives a little variety to the Daemonhunters. I don't think it will be a particularly powerful army, at least I'm not going to try to make it so, but I sure as hell think it will be a lot of fun. Can you see it now...I can run the Spanish Inquisition!!!

Neat. You could always use scouts for the marine part since they're not full-fledged marines yet, ha.

Nah man its a great idea! There are good things in both the witchhunters and the daemonhunters.
Speaking of which, I need to find a way to get ahold of the one witch hunter with the cool hat. I think I want him as my inquisitor... you know maybe model a bit of heavier armor on him and it would look quite tight.
You should totally have them carry old style Spaniard banners dude! That would be sweet!

Don't have a point total on any of this, but here's what I'm wanting so far.
HQ: Inquisitor Lord (not sure of gear or psychic powers yet)
Retinue of henchman: 1 familiar, 0-3 Acolytes, 3 warriors, 2 sages, 2 mystics
Transported by a rhino
Elites: 3 Daemonhosts
3 Death Cult Assassins
1 Officio Assassinorium Operative (Vindicare or Callidus)
1-3 Inquisitors
I can do some mix of these, as there are plenty of options
Troops: 2 Full squads of Inquisitorial Stormtroopers mounted in rhinos
Heavy Support: I want to make some sort of beacon to show the striking point for an orbital bombardment. My army could have like seeded the beacon before the battle or some other fluffy way.
That's about it for my inquisitorial forces, unless I get more stormtroopers. On to the the IG allies, as I haven't worked out SM allies yet.
2 Platoons of Guardsmen, some of which I will upgrade to heavy weapons teams.
1 Full sentinel squadron. I'm going to probably buy the cadian version, find lascannons, and use magnets so I have all weapons variants available.
1 Leman Russ Battle Tank.
That's about my plan for the time being. Except for the Sentinels, I'll be able to get what I need IG-wise from two battleforces, with an extra Leman Russ tank should anyone be interested in buying it off me. Again, this isn't going to be a powerful force and not particularly good at all....but any concerns/input/comments always appreciated!!

alright im starting a new army but i think im gonna go with Black Templars instead of Chaos Khorne so if anyone is interested in the ork half of the black reach set let me know ill probably be purchasing it soon. i also plan to purchase that space marine megaforce thats been sitting on john's shelf for the last decade so all and all i will have
HQ-High Marshall (Commander) w/ Command squad and Razorback
-Emperor's Champion
Elite-5 Terminators (Black Reach)
-Dreadnaugt (Black Reach)
-Real Dreadnaught
Troop-10 Marines (Black Reach) w/ 5 Neophytes (Scouts)
-15 Marines
Fast- 5 Assault Marines (for now)
Heavy- Predator

-Sounds like a good start Rios, glad to get you back into the world of 40k, even if it's a smaller force!
-I'd like to amend the list I've made above. It appears that I won't be going for the infantry platoons of guardsmen for the IG troops I need, and that I'll be opting for two units of Armored Fists instead.
-Last note, if anyone has any ideas as what would make for good Henchman models like sages, mystics, or inquisitorial acolytes I'd like to hear em. I don't like/can't find suitable models as of yet that I like or that can work well.

check out the warmachine figures there are plenty of half machine/man models in their range especially from cygnar
