I saw the post about getting more threads going, so I thought I would branch my blog from another site and do a specific one for here.
So this will be a blog based on the Combat Patrol aspect of my Daemons of Chaos army.
I am leaning strongly towards attending Adepticon 2009 in order to play in the combat patrol tournament being held on Friday morning. With that said, I decided it would be cool to create a combat patrol that is heavily themed, but can be plugged into my overall DoC army without feeling out of place.
To this end, I decided to create a Slaanesh army.
Herald of Slaanesh w/ Transfixing Gaze (55 pts) [HQ] Fiends of Slaanesh x 4 (120 pts) [Elite] Daemonettes of Slaanesh x5 (70 pts) [Troop] Daemonettes of Slaanesh x5 (70 pts) [Troop] Seekers of Slaanesh x5 (85 pts) [Fast Attack]

I really like your bases...are those custom made or did you buy them. Either way looks good and the paint job is really nice.

I am actually further ahead on this project than what I am posting today, but I wanted to get caught up on blogs that I have started. I have decided that the Deadly Kiss will have a spider theme to it. Most slaanesh armies and models have a “worm” theme to them, so I wanted something different. I like the “drider” look, but I also want to save that look for heralds and pleasureseekers. These ladies use the new kit and legs from the GW spiderrider kit. It was a rather simple conversion, but one I found striking when done. I do think that my next set will have some additional spider “hairs”, but for a first round that needs to be finished by end of Feb, I think it will do.

I really like the look you are going for...havent seen it used before so it will be unique (at least to me it is). Keep up the good work and posts.
Great job on the bases especially since they are custom. Bases are one of those things that always grab my attention more so than paint jobs.

I like the new tone better. It seems lighter to me and brings out the other colors more.
Both look good, I just prefer the newer one.

That scenic base on the Masque is sweet.

The icon, you mean? Yea, the new skin tone is far better than the masque's.

Dude- looking VERY good.
Also, your work area is much cleaner and more organized than mine ever thought about being.
