its gonna be that time of the year again folks. Our 4th year anniversary is upon us. We will probably run it similar to last years meeting. that means: -Food, probably subway party platters again
-Elections will be held, position-elects will take over in the fall
-Club picture will be taken again
-Special events with prize support (this is the audience participation part kiddies). last year we had two mega battles, one for fantasy, one for 40k, and they went really spectacular i think. So lets get some ideas as far as what people would like to see this year's party.
-Thats usually what goes down, any suggestions are welcome -

Have the mega battles mean something! Give an award to someone who kills the most models, or enemy generals, or whatever, something spectacular.
I think it'd be good to have a bits trading day too, like the week before each anniversary date. That'd be sweet, because then people can use their new shit in games. Even PP stuff, which reminds me, hold a PP mega game too...why not? We have enough people still, right?

I dunno about prizes for mega battles....what about a raffle or door prize if anything. That way everyone has a chance who is part of club and not just people who are particpating in mega-battle.

i agree with josh not everyone might participate, as for a warmachine/hordes megabattle, theres not that many rules for multiplayer but i think i could come up with something,

Honestly it would just be a two player game with multiple people controlling models on each side. There'd be two sides: "good" armies and "bad" armies, just like any other game. It'd run just like a two-player game, where everyone on one side goes, then vice versa. As for who goes first, each person on a team rolls a dice; highest to lowest goes first. That leaves it random so no one person keeps going first before others, unless that's how the dice fall. Or just let it run or whatever. Keep people's points low, say 400 or 500, and you can have a good game without it taking too long or get too crowded.

i dont know for certain that we would have the right numbers but i have thought it would be really cool to have an imperium VS megabattle. so marines IG etc. VS what ever everyone else brings. I am like 99% sure there are enough people who own just marines to make it happen but it would come down to people wanting to play that sorta thing. anyway just thought i would throw it out there.

We kinda did something like that in the clubs very first year. It was a longer campaign that ended in a mega battle. Only Difference was it was three way.
Imperium vs. Xenos (Tau and Eldar players) vs. Chaos (Dark Eldar and Chaos)
It was a really good time sadly I dont believe any pictures survive from that.

We did, since I organized it. I have some pictures, but not much. I'd be happy to organize a new scenario for this anniversary.

Ooooo right! That fiasco that went two turns. Heh, Tigurius wiped out the Tau almost single-handedly...the Dark Eldar that didn't do much, and the other two races that made a valiant effort but just died anyway. Imperium for the win!
With new Apocalypse rules that old scenario could work a lot better...but meh, I'd like to write a new one anyway.

I dont know what you are talking about. Fiasco? No...three turns with 18000 poiints on the boards wasnt bad. Yeah I wish we had been able to finish but we didnt plan right. Even still it was super fun.
haha Tiberius didnt wipe out shiza. Most of the Tau were still on the board they just couldnt get any closer because of his stupid ability that made them run away and than they all rallied again just to have it happen again. You really didnt actually kill that much from the Tau and Eldar side. In fact I think they killed more Imperials than you killed Tau and Eldar team.
Also I believe Tau came in first or second by obtaining one of their objectives.
So eat it, SMURF player. haha all in jest of course.
Actually after reading old posts it looks like the Tau and Imperials actually tied...both only obtaining their secondary objectives. From reading other posts concerning that game though I believe Imperials lost most of their force where the other armies did not.

Yay more scenarios and fluffy ones at that. It be neat to have a long-term campaign where you fight on a strategic map and get advantages for enlarging your empire by winning in 1v1 fights, with the end being everyone in a melee ^_^.

Alright 15 days till this shindig. Cant wait.
I am bringing 1,000 pts of Adepticon Warhammer Bretonnian Goodness, I was wondering what exactly we are doing for Warhammer. Will there be an event like last year or just open gaming like the year before. Either way I am bringing the same thing.
Also to any Warhammer Players, I am looking to throw down with this list at least 2 or 3 times that night to practice for adepticon so if you wanna get a warhammer game in let me know. My partner for the team tournament may be there so we will want to do 2 vs. 2 games if he is.
