The new wound distribution and Tau codex interactions. I don't have the current one so I can't say about it yet; I was going to read up when I go to GW next. The rulebook would say that wounds are distributed as normal, so the suit could take wounds before the shield drones are dead, but I'm sure the Tau codex says otherwise and I wanted to be sure before I put a one way or the other up there.

The only thing the book really says about shield drones (to my knowledge) that would apply is that they have the special rule "close protection" and that reads "Shield drones always have the same Toughness and Armour Save values as the individual they accompany."
i will read the FaQ and see if they say anything about it there

Don't bother, that FAQ is so old. If that's all there is, then the suits can definitely take wounds before all drones are down. I'm still going to look on Wednesday to be sure.

Wellifiwasme, This has got to stop. If you want a post about Tau rulings and what not, make one post. There need not be 5 open posts about tau rules. Waste of space. Just continue your discussion in one post. Thanks.
Example:
New post could bold the new topic.
Initial post Tau markerlights blah blah blah
5 replies from other people later
same post, you reply to it with Tau sheild drones stuff discuss, blah, discuss...
QUITE SIMPLE!
Stop waisting space!

sure thing mate. one thread is not a problem just not the way i like it ;D I am not saying the way i like it is better or should be done..... i just like to have everything seperated. I get how others might not like that though and i dont have very strong feelings about it.
