I just finished my Revenger for the No Quarter #23 painting challenge (Riddled with Bullets), and I wanted to show it off, so here it is! He's supposed to be all shot up and shit. Note the hole in his smoke stack, and the smoke pouring out of it. Since he is for a mini-competition, I didn't want to post it on the Privateer boards, lest some bitches steal my thunder. So, you get to enjoy it here! Also, I painted all this stuff recently. www.privateerpressforums.com/index.php?showtopic=174461&st=0&p=2587163entry2587163Check it out.

Nice, I like your signature dry ground bases . Cool idea with the hole in the smoke stack.

Love it as always, but I hope the smoke is flat, as I don't think it looks good semi-gloss like that. But that's just me...

You hope it is flat? Just say it looks weird- that is okay.
This new can of dullcoat I have is not as dull as I would like, and it is fucking my shit up. Kind of pissing me off, but whatever. It doesn't look that bad in person.

No the smoke looks great, just not that dull. Dull, flat, same meaning.
I'm sure it's just the lighting.

No, it has more of a glaze than I would like, and it really should be flatter.
Please- point these things out otherwise I don't notice. I spend so much time finishing these things, I often don't notice things like that.

Since I could get him done before the deadline, I also threw together this Machine Wraith conversion for the No Quarter "Clockwork" challenge. While the model is in desperate need of in-game revision, the miniature is pretty cool. I added the gears and wheels that are sticking out of him, along with some additional scraps of cloth and whatnot. Let's hope that MKII updated his rules, otherwise I might never actually field this Machine Wraith.

Did you highlight that bronze head plate thingy, or is it the lighting again? I think it looks a little mono-color is all.

Great stuff as always adam.
At calebs comment about green chest: To me its not the green that seems wrong...it is the color of the ribs and spine above and around the green. The "ribs" and spine seem more lightly colored than most of your other cryx stuff...its not as dark...to me anyways. I kow part of that feeling is probably from the flash on the camera...I would have to see the model in person to make a better judgement...with that being said...that is the best damn machine wrath i have ever seen.

@ Andrew- Yeah, I highlighted. Lighting strikes again.
@ Josh- Good eye! Because I am out of my normal base color for my Cryx stuff, I used different, lighter paint for the metals. Definitely not as dark as usual. I will go back to the old way.
@ Caleb- I was actually happy with how the green came out.
