Ok, so I got myself a Space Wolves army and was thinkin' if you guys could help me beat out the ruff edges a little. I'll assume nobody knows about the wolves codex, better to be safe then sorry.
Things to know about wolves:
With that out of the way; I give you my 1,500pt. list:
BTW I left out the various come with upgrades/weapons to save space. Few other things my Blood Claws get +2 attacks on the charge/couter attack (but must assault closest unit with in 6" unless I have an IC attached; then I can assault when I want), Frost blade=Power weapon w/ +1 S, Wolf pelt gives me +1 attack on the couter attack and I had to pay for frags and boltguns on the grey hunters 1pt for each, per model (no the whole squad doesn't have to purchase the boltguns if I buy any).
Also, if I can/you guys want me to I could post a link to the full codex and FAQs. GW doesn't even make the codex anymore; you just call them up and they email/fax you the codex for free.
Now as for general strategy, I mover forward with the Rhinos, Predators, Ven. dreadnought, and Vindicator. The Razorback sits back on the objective; if there isn't one then it too will advance. The Dreadnought would be in cover somewhere maybe moving forward too if there are outflankers/no objective. While the Attack bikes sit in reserve with maybe one on the table at the start.
Things to know about wolves:
- I must take an HQ for every 750pts.. no more no less.
- I have access to the current space marine codex for vehicles/units and their upgrades as follows: Landraider, Predator, Vindicator, Whirlwind, Rhino, Razorback, Attack Bike, Dreadnought, Land Speeder.
- My Venerable dreadnought and characters uses the upgrades/wargear/weapons from the SW codex that are not in the list above.
- My whole army has Counter Attack, Acute Senses, Blood Fued and follows the current ATSKNF rules ,but can not use Combat Tactics or Combat Squads.
- My Dreadnoughts, Models in Power or Terminator armor, Wolf Scouts, Landspeeders(weird ain't it) may take drop pods.
- I could clarify more ,but I am not gonna type out the codex + two FAQs(one in english, the other german. GW forgot to put Rhinos and Razorbacks in the listing for using the SM codex in the english one ).
