So i'm just wondering if anything other than what's on privateer's website has been released regarding the new warmachine faction, Retribution of Scyrah. Images, stats, etc.

All I know is that their rules will be for MKII, but they will release MKI rules in no quarter. And they look like Eldar with Tau guns.

Is there any pictures by chance? I got a very small and half/assembled Khador force, but if the models are sick, I wouldn't mind picking up a few. I'm building miniatures armies now off of the models I like (IG/Sisters, Khador) rather than thinking about their competitiveness ^_^.

Just that concept art. I think the site says once a week they will be placing a picture on that, that will assemble the cover or something.

Holy crap they really do look like Eldar... Damn close to a Dire Avenger too.
Well at least the stealing of ideas is working both ways between Forgeworld and Privateer Press. Better for the consumer I say.

I wouldn't see Eldar at ALL in the concept art up on Privateer's site. The Restribution look is much bulkier. Eldar are always defined by their silly hats, to me.
I think the look is a lot more like a steampunk version of Japanese mecha. Which is probably what they were going for, since IK elves have always been pretty Asian-inspired.
I'm curious to see what the Myrmidons look like. Way back in the day, I believe PPS said Myrmidons looked more like golems -- big mechanical humanoids. But I'd assume they'll wind up with a more anime-inspired look.
Edit: whoops, just found the cover image you're probably all looking at. Yeah, I can see the Eldar comparison now. It still wouldn't have been my first thought, but I can see it. Silly hats and all that.

So Dawnlord Vyros has a picture up on PP's website...I'll say this, at least, I'm intrigued enough to see what the army is going to look like. Grunts, solos, Jacks, etc. I'm 50/50 at the moment. If I like them enough I might pick them up as my second army, well third if you count my legion.

That model looks like it came straight out of the video game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from all the elf ruins/armor. I don't think that's a bad thing, but wow they could've shown a little more originality perhaps?
Otherwise the sculpt itself is really nice and well done.
I really want to see now what their infantry and jacks look like. Please let the Jacks be good...

I don't see it. If anything, I think Matt Williams is ripping HIMSELF off. The general styling of the armor looks a lot more like other IK factions (especially Cygnar and Khador) than I expected.

I really think I will go with this faction. So I will be looking to sell other things off. These will be really fun to paint!

Maybe if you paint them specifically that way...

I think the sculpts for the Myrmidons are going to make or break this faction, for me. At this point, they're fine, but they don't look "new" enough to impress me. Cool jacks could make all the difference, though.

The new concept art seems to combine traditional elfs with the Final Fantasy/ Lost Odyssey style of armor and stuff.

I like metal better... and I don't like these Jacks .

I think plastic makes sense for how they are. The shoulders are real bulky, and if made pewter they would be unstable.
Also I am told by Rios, that the jacks are sold much like newer 40k stuff is. You will have options to make different jacks from the same set. So one light and one heavy blister, thats it. I hear some magnets calling my name. Hot swap parts depending on what you feel like playing.
Also pay attention tot he economy and metal sales. Prices on metals are up. They are thinking of themselves and sort of thinking of us.
Not saying anyone has to by them, but fluff wise, Iosian (Myrmidon) jacks are supposed to look, move, and be different than human jacks. They are run on straight up magic and are able to move much different than their human rival's jacks. (I been reading the IK rules a bit lol.)

So there's a picture up on the PP website of the retribution duking it out with some khadorans. Now while I have no love for the heathens from the north...I have to say that it seems to me drago would make short work of that hydra...thoughts? comments? concerns?
