I would agree, but as I was saying...Fluff wise, Iosian jacks are faster and more efficiently built. Who knows. But by straight up models, the Draco wins by far. Great pose = true strength lol.

I second that. The retribution looks stupid so far, but I am tempted by the prospect of plastics.... Oh the conversion potential...

Yea that was my though too adam. I wouldn't mind experimenting on them. I bet the price isn't that great though.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by the Retribution. Not that they're BAD, they're just sorta unexciting. They're just not "new" looking enough for me. Aesthetically remind me a bit too much of Everblight and Menoth with a little dash of anime roundness. Nothing to look at and go, "Now THAT'S cool."
I guess every mini game has a faction that doesn't interest me. I can't stand Eldar or Orks, frankly. Privateer had just impressed me so far in that I genuinely liked every one of the existing eight factions -- but I guess 8/9 ain't bad.

you know what? I'm starting to like the retribution...the jacks anger me slightly but the solos and some of the units are looking pretty sweet. Nayl looks like a pimp and I love that sword.

Yea, I would rather get a metal 'jack and mod it...or use new GW wraithlords lol.
Update: Troop squad officer and standard bearers pics Ghost Snipers Arcanist and Nayl the badass

It's interesting that you mention the Wraithlords as a replacement for these new plastic Warjacks... When it comes to plastic, GW actually has more experience and I believe it shows. I say go for it if you're thinking of starting an army. I'll probably stick with what little (half-assembled) Khador I have because I have a thing for dry-brushing. Khador is very friendly for dry brushing with all the winter furs ^_^.

Drybrushing Dork... lol
I'm sure if you thought of it enough you could come up with a reason to dry brush these with the right colors and a sort of theme.

A set of MK I rules is in the new NQ magazine. Rios let me use his and I did a proxy battle against his legion.
They ran very well. My list was as follows.
9 DawnGuard Sentinels 6 DawnGuard Sentinels 10 DawnGuard Invictors
1 Hydra 1 Manticore 1 Phoenix (I like this one a lot cool star ability and heavy jack with an Arc Node)
DawnGuard Warcaster (works well with jacks) Mage Hunter Solo guy (can't remember his name) ---------- 749 pts

They have been posting more new units...a dawnguard leader/solo or something and some various mages and what not. All look quite cool.
I have play tested their MK1 rules twice now and I find I really like them.
I think I will be playing them again on Thursday if anyone wants to check it out.
I will be putting my pirates up on ebay this week. In preparation to buy Retribution models after GenCon and in September. I might downsize and try and focus my Mercs and Orboros armies as well.

I have been impressed with their casters, solos and units, but until i see a jack in person i dont think they look good in print or online. we'll see.

@ Drew: Don't see you playing so POO on you.
@ Rios: I agree there. My friend says they look good, but don't fit in the universe very well.
