Quick question: I want to use a unit of chaos warriors with halberd, shield, and second hand weapon options (as you are likely to know already). Can I model some as halberd and some as 2 hand weapon? I don't know how fantasy works in this regard, though asking the folks on AWC they say it seems okay.

That is fine, just make sure to declare to your opponents what the unit is armed with before the game. (I do something similar with a unit of skeletons)

Any hint on what armies might show up?

There was a post on the Rites of War site, but the site is down right now for maintenance. Pretty sure there is a goblin army, a OK army, 2 dark elf armies, and a skaven army. It seems like the mix is pretty good. I haven't heard of a DoC army, but that doesn't mean someone wont show up with one. I believe there is also a Brettonian army, but I am not certain.

Interesting mix indeed. I've been tweaking my list against Justin's Skaven here...a hellpit abomination is just nasty in 1000 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....!!! Made my entire unit of warriors disappear once. Hope I don't face one, but I'm prepared for it now at least.

Like last year, those big monsters are really good at killing, but not so great and accomplishing goals.

You've seen my list; how well prepared do you think it is for this tournament?

At this point we have reached the magical 24 players. If anyone else is interested, please post or PM me by Saturday and I will add you to a wait list. Once I determine if I can get anymore spots, I will send you a paypal email to register. Folks will have 24 hours to register. After 24, the next person on the list will get a chance to register.

So my bases are going to be snow covered, due to the time of the tournament and that they're marching out of the northern wastes to invade Kenosha! I'll be painting the rims black, the tops white, and then thick snow. That's fine, right?

Yes - That meets the basing requirements.

A little to far for me...plus I would have had to request it off two months ago to get a chance at having it off.
