Apparently there's a store up in Antioch (by my hometown) that sells various things, including GW stuff of course. I've looked through their catalog here: www.friendshobby.com/ (find the catalog links and follow them) and it looks like they have cheap stuff and lots of OOP items. I'm going home Saturday to check the place out to see if their catalog truly is up to date because I'd like some of those old models. Give a look through (it'll strain your eyes, heh) and see if you want anything that maybe I can pick up for ya'll while I'm there.

I cannot say enough BAD things about this place and strongly suggest avoiding them. I was in the process of writing a blog entry why I feel this store is the worse hobby store in the country when I saw this post.
Just a few of the reasons
1. Prices are all higher than MSRP. In addition, if you use a credit card, prices are even higher. 2. The store is dirty, really dirty. I will not take my kid into the place because it is so nasty. (Game stores have a rep for being “dirty”, but this place is down right nasty in my opinion.) 3. You can only purchase GW stuff if one of the two guys is present. (Seriously, if one of the guys is not there, you cannot go into the section of the store which has GW.) 4. The customer service is very rude and hostile. The second time I was in the store, the “owner” told another adult, older than me, that he couldn’t go into other sections of the store because he couldn’t watch him. 5. They keep most of the lights off on the store, I am guessing because they are trying to save money. My wife wouldn’t go in the store one time because of how dark and “creepy” the place was kept.
I have been there three times now, and surprisingly, last night was my last because of the customer service. The only reason to go there is if you are really looking for OOP stuff as they do have a catalog of very old GW models. That said, in most cases, Ebay is cheaper than these jokers. I have heard a lot of rumors about what happened with these guys in Waukegan, but I don’t know if the stories are true. What I can tell you is from what I have experienced, I tell everyone to stay away.

FYI - I believe the online list was last updated in either 05 or 06. Again, prices are going to be alot higher than posted there.

Indeed. My dad has been there and said similar things, though not necessarily how nasty they were. They have GW sprays for $8 still, so I doubt prices are too high if they are half the price...

I hate blasting any business, but this place just rubs me wrong. Shame, cus I believe they had some Chaos Dwarf stuff last time I was able to actually look around.

Well my plans were pushed back a week, so next Saturday I shall see for myself this travesty.
