According to peeps in the know, here's what's on the table at the moment: November: Skaven February: Tyranids March: Beasts of Chaos After March : Blood Angels/Necrons (conflicting chatter)

Hooray, new Tyranids will eat more face than ever before. Happiness will ensue and all other life will be extinguished. Maybe not in that order.

And then Necrons will come in later to scare the 'Nids with their lack of eatability... Looks like a good year.

NARRATOR: And so Arthur and Bedemir and Sir Robin set out on their search to find the enchanter of whom the old man had spoken in Scene 24. Beyond the forest they met Launcelot and Galahad, and there was much rejoicing. ALL: Yay! Yay! NARRATOR: In the frozen land of Nador they were forced to eat Robin's minstrels. And there was much rejoicing. ALL: Yay! NARRATOR: A year passed. Winter changed into Spring. Spring changed into Summer. Summer changed back into Winter. And Winter gave Spring and Summer a miss and went straight on into Autumn. Until one day... The necron codex came out!!
sorry

Well technically, Space Wolves are coming out in October, so it isn't too long to wait. And yeah, the longer the Necron codex waits, the sadder I get. I really want to start them, but I definitely don't feel like going... "Look guys, I just finished my Necrons. Cool, uh?" "Sure. Have you seen the new codex. They got rid of (insert model) and gave you (insert model). They also did (insert stuff that is nerfed and made amazing)." "Curses!!!"

Forget the fact that, as the biggest gaming company around, they could design and put out a LOT more stuff a LOT more often, they feel the necessity to reinvent the wheel every time they put out an army book. As someone who played 'Undead' for Fantasy back in the day, I have seen my armies broken up into multiple factions, models come and go (or get absorbed into another army), and complete redesigns. I'm not trying to stand in the way of progress, but I think a little more care taken on the part of GW could help the hobby immensely. I mean, hell, if it weren't for their screwed-up release schedule, you would be PLAYING A NEW FACTION. Their schedule is actually PREVENTING you from buying their product, at least for a few months.

PGtW: I agree that GW's release schedule doesn't make sense for the typical person. Most folks gravitate to one or two armies, so if they get nothing in 8+ years, they tend to grow bored and move on to other games and systems.
I have to admit that PP method of releasing something new for all factions on a regular basis is much more appealing to me. I just hate to start a whole new system.
