Well, I saw the point made on how PP was better with putting out books in sequence than GW was, and here is yet more proof of the truth in that statement.
In short, the new Hordes rules will begin field testing in November. They will amend those rules with what they found in the test and then re-release them officially (for events) until the new book comes out in the summer.

They are probably releasing the amended documents as official for events so that playing hordes in tournaments with warmachine will not be so hard being in different systems. Meaning when the new WM MK2 book hits the streets there will be a field guide for MK2 Hordes as well. Meaning both can be played in events together with no problems.
