Well as my model collection grows (more Cygnar stuff arrived today) it is becoming increasingly clear that I need a better way to move and store them. The same Army Transport cases and foam sheets that everyone else uses look good, however I have no idea which one to get and which thickness of foam is best for Warmachine modeels. Any advice?

This is the standard size bag and can easily carry one or two Warmachine/Hordes armies. www.saboldesigns.net/armytransport.htmlThe foam size really depends on what size your models are. Infantry fits pretty good in the 1" or 1.5" deep foam. Your Jacks and what not would be better in the 3" or 4" foam. When you buy the one above it comes with two 2.5" Foam troop holders and six 1" foam troop holders and that should take care of you for the most part. Look on ebay there are some good deals on Army Transport cases.

So if I get this right:
1-1.5" trays: troops, warcasters and solos 2-2.5" trays: Light jacks, medium-based troopers (I.E. Khador Man o' Wars) 3-4" trays: Heavy jacks
Like this?

Yeah thats about right for the most part. Some things like the jacks with random huge flags on them and such will be a little more difficult. You might have to lay them down but thats not a huge deal.

Are the 1/4" sheets put between each tray?

Eventually, you'll find yourself buying extra inserts, in order to facilitate different models. It's hard to say exactly what you are gonna need, as some models requite more space than others (ie. stuff like Terminus, the Seraphim, Thunderhead, etc.). Trial and error is best, and honestly, I've never regretted buying the extra inserts.

1/4" sheet goes between the very top tray and the zipper flap.

I put all my jacks in the thickest ones, as well as any figures bigger than troop size. But then thats what makes these bags nice. You can customize them to your liking.
