For my projected fun army, I need to come up with my own models since GW doesn't want to put out any. For the thunder wolves I was thinking of using the High Elf White Lions and changing out the head for a wolf head and tail with a wolf tail and adding some longer claws with green stuff, they look about right. as seen here. (Adam I'm gonna need your help with these initially ) I'm also going to give the riders nemesis force halberds as they seem like the best 40K cavalry weapons available. the harder part is which wolves to use for the Fenris wolves. The goblin rider ones look alright but not to dynamically posed so would look boring with 45 of the same one on the table. However, the new chaos warhounds could work, just need to green stuff over the chaosy stuff with some more hair and even the spikes work since they're supposed to be big demon wolves.

I really like where the conversion is going. I vote you stick with this idea since I think it will look amazing once finished.
I hate the chaos hound models. The way the model is molded, when the halves are combined it requires alot of green stuff work to remove the obvious split. Poorly designed models in my opinion, though they are cheap for the price.

thanks...fortunately the Lion/Wolf idea is from B&C..forgot to give credit...as for the hounds..I need to green stuff more hair on them anyways so the cracks shouldn't be more of a problem then I was expecting
