Then what is the point in either of us going if we have no fantasy? I thought it was brought up that more people liked the 40k tables anyways. maybe I will just buy those goblins off ben and paint em...
I really want to do this year's con though, so I might just have to do that. I have more than enough time to paint them...which I think I might do. Don't write me off. I am doing this.

so thats a possible 3. If I get the high elves...I am going to devote my time to finishing. Do i just need like an HQ (w/e its called in fantasy) and two units?

If you have the dwarves up and running Rios, I'll be more than happy to use them. Me learning a new game system, I"m sure I can pick up most of it no time. I don't really forsee the fact that we us not playing much fantasy prior as being a problem. Not like we're going all our for a tourney. Just run a table, represent the club, and enjoy ourselves. Am I on the right track?

i know that...i was just stating that i didn't know if you would want to run fantasy...and id probably have you do wood elves...i like my dwarfs and i haven't even played with them yet ;D y don't ya run orcs and goblins frizzell, you can pick them up cheap with the battle for skull pass box...it comes with over 500 pts ready to go....if anything we can do a 3 player scenario that i also have rules for...in which case it will be ,y dwarfs. wood elves...and whatever delso decides

If I can get some currency and a small band of orcs and goblins by the time it comes around, I'd definately be willing to do that. I could have your wood elves as a fallback plan then.

Its all goblins in that box. So you would have to pick up some orcs. As for me I was hoping adam would buy my shit, but thats not gonna happen I think. So I'm stuck with no army till I can afford things, which is not right now. I gotta pay molidor and save money for the dog im getting soon. If I got money, I will buy things as I can, like a unit at a time...assemble, prime, paint and then get another unit.

Attention Clubs Games Days are the premier gaming events in the United States, and we want you to be a part of the fun! We are looking for enthusiastic groups of gamers to run themed gaming tables and similar events at this year's Games Day! The clubs who sign up to bring one or more tables to Games Day would get the following from Games Workshop.
Free advertising on the Games Day web site for your club. Free advertising in the Games Day program handout going to all participants at the show. Free entry into Games Day for the club volunteers running a table(s). A complimentary Games Day miniature for each club volunteer running a table(s). We'll be giving out lots of Club Awards this year including Best Table and Best event for each game system (Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, and The Lord of the Rings). A huge club goodie bag full of items for each gaming system (Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, and The Lord of the Rings) they’ve built and brought a table for (up to a maximum of three goodie bags per club). Bags will include things like scenery and other items usable by the whole club on a regular club gaming night.
Registration The clubs who want to sign up must fill out a simple application so we know who is coming, can plan adequate space, and promote accordingly. You can download the application here. (56 KB PDF File. Download Adobe Reader here.)
We’re taking registrations early so we have plenty of time to list your club on the Games Day website. sign up now! The deadline for Club Gaming applications is six weeks prior to each Games Day to allow time to promote your club and plan space. Any club applications sent in after this date may not be promoted on our web site or in the Event Program. We will also need a finalized staffing list from each club two weeks prior to the event.
What to Bring Participating clubs will provide their own tables, miniatures, and volunteers. Any displays (not part of the table), banners, or other services needed (i.e. electric) must be approved prior to arrival. We are also encouraging clubs to bring the following in addition to their fantastic table and event:
A club banner and your own system to display it. You can also enter your banner in the Games Day banner contest! Club T-shirts for all club members. Club literature to hand out including flyers, event calendars and sign-up sheets. We want you to be able to promote your club and make sure every person attending Games Day 2008 knows about you!
Official Disclaimer and Rules
Clubs must register their tables at least 6 weeks prior to the event. We will need a finalized staffing list 2 weeks prior to the event. Clubs will be responsible for their own set up and breakdown. The events team will contact each club and inform members of when they can arrive to set up and where they need to go. There will be no reimbursement for parking, meals, hotel costs, and the like incurred by the clubs or their volunteers. Registration is first come, first serve. We have a limited amount of room but it’s still enough room to handle dozens of tables! We recommend 3 club members per 4’x6’ table section for staffing purposes. Please plan accordingly. Games Workshop reserves the right to amend any club staffing list if it appears too large for the proposed event. If you have staffing concerns please don’t hesitate to talk to us. Club Events are intended to provide fun events for Games Day participants and to give Clubs a way to promote themselves to the gaming public. As such you may not charge anyone to participate in your event or otherwise sell anything. Note that this hasn’t ever actually happened before, but we’d rather be safe than sorry. If your table or event won an award at a previous Games Day it will not be eligible to win again -- but you are still welcome to bring the table and run the event. Please note that this applies only to the table and not the club! A brand new table or event is eligible for an award. Any questions? Call 410-590-1400 and speak to Chris Gohlinghorst Or e-mail him at: chrisg@games-workshop.com.

If they allow more than 3 volunteers, or even just cheaper tickets for club members, I'd like to go. Granted, I can't help with the construction of anything or painting, unless it's something I can do on my own. I'd be more than willing to pay a larger proportion for supplies and what not.

We are talking to john about getting tickets, so you might want to stop by and ask him. As for the table, they let 3 in for the table. Its me, rios, and Frizzell.
We need to get to work on this thing. I can do Saturdays. I would prefer not to try to do everything by 4pm but if we have to, me and Frizzell can continue after rios runs to his job.
