Well Folks for two years our club has represented the amazingness that is...well our club...so who is stepping up to the plate this year to run a table if it is allowed by GW at Games Day. As far as I know GW has not announced if they officially will allow clubs to do this again. Spots are limited and this does require work and monetary committment. So if one is interested let the executive board know. If you do participate in this you will need to purchase a club shirt...remember 10% of your club t-shirt purchase goes back to the club.

Warhammer Skirmish was Looked past, We did not really play to many games at the table
There are also a lot of 40k tables to compete with, so I would suggest a fantasy board, 2k-2250 armies

i agree with the fantasy but 2k might take to long as a demo...not too many people would stick around for the whole thing...what about a large warband game?

I would say the highest point value you would want to do is 1000pts. Warbands might be a good system to play.
You have to remember that if you are demoing something other than 40K you are gonna play less because of the fact that it is mostly fan boys who go to Gamesday and most fan boys play 40K exclusively.

i have an idea...let me know what you think...we can do a 2v2 500 pt each warband like we played the one night. This way its decent size armies and people can learn all the rules of regular fantasy at an easier scale..and we can incorporate up to 4 players if needed...and the time won't be so constricted. I am willing to donate a (more then likely by that time) painted 500 pt Wood Elves warband to be one. I figure the 4 people that work on the board can display their armies as well (it is 4 people?)...anyways let me know what you think

Just a couple of things to point out Rios (otherwise it is a good idea)
1. You will need four seperate painted armies
2. GW was only allowing 3 people per table so someone will have to lend an army or someone will have to bring two armies.
3. On top of painting the armies you have to do the board, which can eat up a lot of time (just ask Ian)
If you can get around these problems than its a good idea. I like warbands.

well with warbands i would think we only need a 4x4, unless they require a 4x6..idk i will have to put more thought into it

You can bring a 4x4. In fact I would suggest it unless you plan something larger.

I would really like to do this, this year. I have never been to a convention per say...unless you include the auto show lol.
I have time as I only work now-a-days, Rios lemme know whats goin' on.
Also if anyone has high elves they want to get rid of...or know where I can get em cheap...and a cheap case lol...let me know ASAP! Then I can have them painted.
However, as stated...40k might be a safer bet this year. That I can easily finish a small army for.

I don't know who all is on the roster for going, but if there's a slot open I'd like to contribute what I can if possible. I'm no stranger to cons, I love em.

also what we are most likely looking at is running fantasy again since almost everyone does 40k (plus the boards set up for fantasy)...i believe we are gonna run warbands like we're doing now...not for sure but just so you guys know since neither of you do fantasy..i dont know we'll figure it out

Also keep an eye on the GW site so you guys can apply early and not deal with the nonsense that andrew dealt with the first year.

Ooh! Ooh! Will they be promoting children to scream again this year? Oh, I do hope I can hear all of those darling children scream! If only they knew their attraction to wargaming at such a tender age would ensure their ongoing virginity for years and years, all of their screaming could take on a higher, more desperate pitch! Huzzah for the screaming youths!

yes they will be promoting the screaming...sadly. Luckily most of those screaming youth dont stay in the hobby for long but they are soon replaced by new screaming youth. Note to any members attending no screaming, period.
