With Games Day 2008 out of the way, it is time to start working on 2009's tables!
Rios, Ian, and Adam H. (myself) will be working on a Warhammer fantasy table which will revolve around a Wood Elf army attacking a defending Empire force dug in around an Empire Manor House. We are working on details, but we will feature a 4 foot by 6 foot table, heavily wooded with a lakefront view.
Ian doesn't know about any of this yet, but now he does. Congrats Ian.
I will be doing a ton of the groundwork, Rios will be doing trees and Army, while Ian will be doing an army and work yet to be determined.
This will be the first large table I have done, and by god, I plan to make it awesome.
I just wanted to make this declaration so everybody knows I committed to this project and can kick my ass if I am not working hard enough at it.
So, bug me, make sure I am hard at work, because sometimes I forget what projects I should be working on.

About time you got involved on one of our tables you skanky ho bag.
Also Ian still wont know about it till you tell him cause he is almost never on the boards...lets check the last time he was on...June 29th at 16:35.
Actually better than I thought but still.

Official registration with GW doesnt usually happen till January.

We were thinking that, since we only get three people per board per club, we could have Rios, Ian and I doing the DeKalb Chapter Fantasy Board, Frizz, Delso and Bill doing the NIU Chapter Board (what?- it exists... now), The Brew Crew doing their board, and the Gurnee chapter doing theirs. That way we have max coverage for each table.
Also, I finally broke down and bought a club shirt last night. Those fuckers are expensive!

Remember we get 10% back so some of it comes back to the club.
Also Chapters can bring multiple tables...talk to rios about this he has the information.

yeah, but you only get one dude for each additional table after the first, so yeah. Lots of work for one dude.

Not necessarily, you have 2 for each board if they give you one more free. Thus 4 of us can work on two tables and only 2 will have to run each table instead of three at the Convention. Could work out quite well. Where did this Dekalb/NIU chapters come from? Whats the diff? If anything you all should be NIU being in school still lol.  |

the guy got back to me its 3 people per board, they only limit because they dont want us getting 10 people in free for one board..so we should be good with the 6 of us from Dekalb chapter and the 2 tables

i think i found our scenario, its attacker and defender with a board set up roughly how our board is going to look. its in the storm of chaos book scenario #1, forgot the name. I think it will work for our purposes. ill modify when i have read it more thoroughly and am not at work.

I like that idea Delso, we could run a tournament for each fantasy and 40k, and even if the proceeds won't be a whole lot, could still pool the money to get some stuff for the tables.

I'd like to hear the whole story on your guys table. Sounds interesting at first glance. I wanna get some fantasy in this week...as well as some rampage if possible.
