Firstly, I want to note that I am not running with the DA codex yet, and won't until I am able to field Deathwing and/or Ravenwing. Anyways, I have been getting rolled over lately, especially at battles over 1500. I am wanting to know what to buy and what other tips you can throw at me. What I'm going to do now is list what I have all together, and I'll gradually be putting up a list. I'd put up a whole list, but I want to get to painting for the New Year.
HQ Options: 1 Chaplain with jump pack; 1 Librarian with plasma pistol; 1 Captain (one included in AoBR) Troop Options:2 squads of 10 Tactical Marines, both with a flamer, missile launcher, and a sergeant Fast Attack Options:1 5 man Assault squad with sergeant equipped with plasma pistol and one more plasma pistol Elite Choices:1 Dreadnought (one included in AoBR), 1 Assault Terminator squad equiped with hammers and shields; 1 regular terminator squad (one included in AoBR) Heavy Support Options:1 Land Raider, 1 Vindicator Dedicated Transport Options: 1 Drop Pod with Storm Bolter

A dreadnought is actually an Elites choice, silly. Otherwise...
What you have is a basic army from AoBR. Usable, but weak. What you need to acquire are weapons! The terminators can use either an assault cannon or cyclone launcher, your tactical squads should definitely be upgraded to melta or plasma guns, and your assault squad should definitely be more than 5 men, as otherwise they fall down too fast.
As for other things, your tactical squads could very much benefit from Rhinos. You remember how our last few games ended with your tacticals walking and getting shot to objectives. Do it safely and in style in a rhino! Better special weapons would also help them deal with vehicles that get too close.
As a small but powerful army at 1000 points, you could do the following:
(115) Librarian - plasma pistol (200) Assault or Tactical terminator squad (190) Tactical Squad - power weapon, meltagun (35) Rhino (175) Tactical Squad - meltagun (35) Rhino (250) Land Raider
The terminators and librarian tool about in the raider; if it looks like the raider is gonna get mashed next turn, Gate of Infinity them 24" away and shoot or prepare to assault. The tacticals stay safe in the rhinos while being able to deal with anything except super large hordes. Otherwise, shoot!

Silly me, but fixed now. I definitely plan on picking up Rhinos, as well as other weapons and maybe either another tac squad, or just try to change the one and pray nothing breaks too bad.

I run basically what Andrew has here except i run Vulkan in a more Slamander oriented list.
-2 tac squads, rhino and lascannon razorback. with power wep, meltas and flamers
-redeemer landraider variant - vulkan and assault termies
-2 dreads with multimeltas and one with a heavy flamer and drop pod
-1 thunderfire cannon for ranged support
works out pretty well, and if i loose, its usually not too bad.

Librarian has the potential to be a beast i think. I have been looking to try one eventually.
