So we have just started the Mighty Empires campaign. This will be the open thread for the campaign the other thread will be specifically for updates, pictures and general campaign fluff.
I would prefer this thread be for questions about the campaign and any suggests. We have already ran into some minor problems and they will be added to the rules (can't plan for everything).
Once I finish up the new additions to the rules I will post them up here in this first post, for a little bit and then I will just have rules updates posted up here.

I'm willing, but I need to refine my understanding of the WFB rules, as well as buy/borrow models. But if you wouldn't mind leading me through a few practice games, I'd join in.

I'll be down with my Chaos...as long as any gifts I earn during the campaign I keeps between games? It's really not that hard, or bad. I actually haven't even gotten any in games...

@andrew as before if you kept you gift thingys it will give you an advantage over other armies that get nothing what so ever per racial rules. This time around racial rules might be implemented but (this is a big but) I will have to seriously think this over since they could make the game even more unbalanced than the army books already make them.... @josh wish you could be around for this is definitely a blast to play in. brian we might be able to get you some models to borrow but the big question is how much of the actual WH rules have you read? I will be willing to play a few practice games with you. Probably this upcoming thursday but around like noon since I do have work that night. |

I have glanced over a few times and I have played a game, and I believed I have a decent grasp. However, I want to play more to make sure I have a good enough grasp. And Thursday around noon or 1 will work.

The WoC book is pretty much weak compared to the Lizardmen, DE, Daemons, and Skaven books, and not that much stronger than any of the others (at least the way I'm playing them). Honestly, it'd be one gift or less per game, as it happens so rarely that he even survives the challenge. The gifts themselves aren't that powerful either, single stat boosts, other things like that. Also, if I simply turn into a spawn that would be fun/funny...and what would happen? After the game he comes back to normal for the next campaign turn?

Well im not so sure about letting you do that cuz no other army gets anything remotely close to that sorry. If your army is unbalanced compared the others then play another one......again this wont be happing to like the end of march going through april then stopping the week before finals.

Just like no other army is entirely made of ward saves (daemons)? Or has ridiculously powerful magic (lizardmen)? Or what about free forests (WE)? How about an entirely fear causing/double number by end of game army (VC)? Each army has its own thing that no other has.

Tonight will be our first night of doing this. Bring your 1,000 pt armies I will make a new thread once we get started and all that good jazz so the good people of this forum can follow what we are doing. I have finally fixed the siege warfare and I think it will be the highlight of the campaign.

Updated the main thread.
Also I will text all of you in addition to this reminder but Sean does not have his work meeting this next Thursday but Rios and I have a work meeting at 8 so we will do our campaign promptly at 6 so make sure you are at the shop before then so we can do this before I have to leave.
Also we probably have like 3 weeks left before Sean graduates and leaves so I would also like to meet next Saturday also. I know everyone was available during the afternoon except Bryan might have work, he won't know until Monday so I will let all of you know sometime during the week if this is going to happen. I would like to finish about 5 campaign turns before we have to end this session.
The more testing we do the more finalized I can make the rules and streamline them more.
