Well that settles it then. It'll be 10 minute turns. Adam, are you willing and able to do this campaign one of these weekends? It'll likely last for several hours. If we have 10 people playing, that'll be slightly over an hour and a half per turn. I have updated the original thread, including the guidelines for this particular part.

So with the 10 guy cut off rounds would be 100 minutes. That means at the maximum it would take over eight hours to complete five rounds. Sounds a bit long maybe we should group people into pairs for turns so it cuts it down to fifty minutes a round?

hmmm.... that can be an awful lot of down time for someone not taking a turn. If each "side" activates that might lessen down time and allow for more rounds.
You can break it down to all players on side A go then players on side B. this would be strictly 10 min turns per side/alliance much like playing a1 v 1 tourney match. This would be 20 minute rounds at maximum time usage. Lots of rounds but possibly lots of really ridiculous feat turns if the right warcasters are in play on the board.
Or you can do it by faction: all Khador players activate and take a turn (10 mins) then all Cygnar players (10 min), then all Khador allies activate (10 min), then all Cygnar allies (10 min). This would make for 40 min rounds at maximum time usage.
If each individual player activates and takes 10 minutes it will become very burdensome with 10 players. But activating an entire side in 10 minutes will make for some frentic action.
Also why thinking of this I thought it might be neat to have some special rules regarding play of certain casters... for example Kreoss for Menoth doesn't talk so if someone uses him for their caster they cannot talk to allies about tactics. He can listen but just not talk. Like comm jamming in 40K apoc. Again just a thought that might be fun.

That is kinda kool...but we would have to get some ideas going for every caster.
Like a retribution player can have secondary objective to assassinate a cygnar caster on his own team lol.

I'm not privy to all the fluff of every caster/warlock we could see. Furthermore, it'd have to be fair. Something like, if Sorscha and Butcher are on the field at the same time, neither one will help the other in any way.
As far as turns, I think it'd be best if we did Cygnar activates gets 10 minutes, Khador Activates gets 10 minutes, Cygnar allies activate and get 10 minutes and Khador Allies activate and get 10 minutes. Keep it in a frame of reference: That 2v2v1v1 game we played at the end of last campaign had about 70 minutes per turn. I made sure to keep track of it. by round 3 we were averaging 70-or-so minutes per round. If we can add 4 more people to that and cut 30 minutes, on average per round, we'll actually get done quicker than we would have gotten done with that 2v2v1v1 battle.
I like the thinking, Greg, good call. This will be in the update on the original post of this thread.

That would be cool to do fluff based caster rules. I do think we should do faction based activation, just to speed up the process.

I wish I knew more about the fluff myself. Aside from Kreoss not talking, Haley v. Deneghra thing, and finally Sorscha disliking the Butcher I don't have too much more to go with.
If we have time I am sure we can all come up with something simple and easy to make the game play more interesting and fluffy.

I'm pretty sure that it is the High Reclaimer/Testament of Menoth who doesn't talk. Anyways for most casters it would be pretty easy so fluff based examples i know off the top of my head: Stryker hates menoth Haley V Dirty D (already mentioned) Sorscha Hates Butcher (already mentioned) Sorscha/Vlad love connection Siege is about building destruction objective in game perhaps Sev is all about converting Khadorans to the true faith Feora will do anything to advance her own authority and that of menoth's glory Gaspy would be looking for something to advance his own power

I'll be there saturday most likely because i get paid friday. Thursday is a no go for me this week. Bad Company 2 beta comes out and I am heavily involved with my clan in that game.

In that case, I might want to schedule a dentist appointment for this weekend then...if we start next weekend. Plus Jessie is off from work anyways...
How long will we have it run next weekend then?
I will work on getting Ben's stuff this week and editing it this weekend hopefully. Then we can start planning the other small campaign in the meantime.
