Warmachine/Hordes League

Okay all WM/HD Players the new League is set to start on April 5th. Privateer has released sketchy details but it looks like fun and it effects the game storyline.

First league/campaign story is an invasion of the Scharde Isles...

I will post more details as Privateer releases them. New details are supposed to post on April 5th so I would figure the first day we may be ready to play would be the following day.

If you think you are interested in playing give me the heads up here so I have a general idea of numbers.

Bear is purchasing enough books for 12 people for this first round if we have more than 12 in the first round we will get more.

As of 3/31 Bear is placing order today so we may not have the books and scorecards in house for the kick-off week. If not I will keep record of everything and when the materials get here I will stamp and score to get everything up to speed.

Finally if you have not registered on the Privateer site please do so as the league/campaign map will be there and I need to enter results onto the map as we complete matches. Matches must be played with miniatures... no Vassal matches accepted towards campaign scoring.

We will be doing the Finale to the Nightfall League this Saturday, 4/24!! Starting at 1:30. I hope to see ya there!!

BTW It will be crowded that day as the store is having a release event.

Hey Greg I know you don't have all the specifics for this league but do you have an indication of the point level it will begin at and grow to? I mainly ask due to some people I know who might be interested but don't have the collections to do larger games.

They haven't release much as of yet. I keep checking every day but it looks like they are holding to the April 5th date before they release details.

My guess is that it will be 35 point armies but I am totally guessing. The link below has all the information they have up on this.

I am going to try to get my hands on this months No Quarter to get the cards so we can all see them.

You can bet 35pts as it is the tournament standard army. If its an escalation style then it could start lower, and go much higher.

Still no word or additional information from PP on the league rules. Bear is calling them again this week about prizes from the Resurgence tourney and is asking about the league.

Just to let everyone know, while we don't know the format of play I should have something by April 5th. We will have a formative meeting on April 6th at 7 at New Game In Town. I'll hand out all materials and we will discuss play and dates (if necessary). If you cannot make it just let me know and I will hold materials for you.

Just to keep everyone update. Not much new news on how this thing runs. PP hasn't posted rules but it may be you have to purchase the kit to get more information. I will try to talk to Bear about what's up but we're a bit PO'd at PP right now as they have yet to send the Resurgence prize kit Bear ordered.

New Update!!

I have the rules on how things work. there is no fixed game day you just need to send me some information on how things went and find time to get me or store to put stamps in your book.

Base battles are at 50 pts however you can fight larger or smaller battles. Smaller battles earn you fewer points and larger battles earn you more.

I will try to get over to the store to talk with Bear about getting the kit and the books but we may not have the books in time to start. We will get together to discuss and hand out books on Tuesday, April 6th and I will make sure to be at the store on that Thursday for anyone who can't make the Tuesday kick off.

The kit looks cool and the Steamroller trophies look pretty awesome too after seeing the championship trophies for adepticon.

after talking with Bear the price of this league will be $10. This will register you for this round of the league and get your the booklet that will be used in all three rounds.

Depending on how scoring goes we may increase the buy in to $15 for rounds 2 and 3 of the league and offer more prizes. I am leery of scoring right now and want to see how this first round pans out.
