Well, here it is, the start of my next painting thread. For next years Adepticon Fantasy Team Tournament, myself and James, will be teaming up again. We already have a rough plan of our theme and we are going with a pirate theme. While James is still on the fence about which army to field...I have decided to field a Skaven force as I have a battalion box and a couple of other things laying around the house for them. I attempted to start them while i was in college but didn't have the time or the drive to do it. I plan on converting a large percentage of this army and experimenting with "green stuff" a lot more. Here is the first glimpse of a couple of figures I started today.    Comments and suggestions welcome. |

Looking good, dude. Interesting army theme- should make for some interesting bases. It looks like your modeling/painting skills are really coming along. Nice work.

I so miss painting...but its so hard to come home and do it when I have Bad Company 2 to play...and a billion xbox/wii games to finish lol.
I may never get to my retribution...unless I sell of something else and make room. They might just be fun to paint and thats it.
Then there is band stuff...and wedding planning. Maybe come September when that is over, I will have some time. hopefully.
Lookin good there Josh. I would have to agree with adam on that point.

I think I myself may put down the Mouse/keyboard and paint I've slowly been rearranging my room in order to make a nice paint table again. It is just well i just play pc games

Thank you. I dont like the way the normal spears look...plus i want something that is going to draw people eyes to our display board...I am hoping this does. This is what I have done so far...long way to go but I am moving at a decent pace (for me anyways).  |

Spearman are all converted. Now to paint them...some of them still have old paint job which will have to be stripped and repainted. Also eventually they will all have the circular shields.  |

Are those spearmen or pikemen? I love em, but they look like they are carrying pikes.

Nice work on all the conversion Josh! I like that look a heckuva lot better than the regular spearmen.

@andrew - Thank you sir. I agree. equinox - they are spearman. I purposely made them look like pikemen a little so I could possibly field them some day as pikemen. @ sean - that is correct sir. Brass rods...and lots of them. |

Wizard conversion for the Empire half of our army...   Basically I wanted him to look a little barbaric but still empire...the wires are for a wizardy thing that will be goin on around him. |

Well Adepticon has come and gone. So here is the final picture of our army.  Look out for next years thread Adepticon 2012: Inebriation Generation: Cold Blooded Undead or some other such appropriate name |
