Well the new silliness has been released, and I have a rough list of what I'd like to run. Everything I have at the moment comes out to 1600 or so, so I'd just have to do some tweaking to get to 1500, or get more for a 1750+
225 Point HQ: Commander Dante 250 Point Troop: 5 Sanguinary Guard + Chapter Banner + 2 Infernus Pistol 245 Point Troop: 10 Assault Marines + Power Fist + 2 Meltagun 245 Point Troop: 10 Assault Marines + Power Fist + 2 Meltagun 175 Point Elite: Librarian Furioso w/ Wings + Shield Powers, and FRag Cannon 150 Point Elite: 2 Sanguinary Priest + Jump Packs 70 Point Fast Attack: Landspeeder w/ Multi Melta and Heavy Flamer 90 Point Fast Attack: Landspeeder w/ Heavy Bolter + Typhoon Missles 145 Point Heavy Support: Vindicator
I can easily upgrade the vehicles for more points if I'd like, as well as add a few more units. I wouldn't mind a Baal Predator for higher points, and even thought of some scouts or scout bikers. Seems like this new codex can actually be a meta changing one....there's so much anti-mech in this codex, it's silly. Depending on how popular these guys are, more Inquisitors with mystics could be seen, and also more hordes.

Are they still allowed to have jump packs for core/troops?

Man my mostly core/troop army lists i play seem to follow me in every game ....... warriors of chaos- used to be all troops until knights become chosen for a special choice blood angels (3rd and a few games in 4th) were all core and fast attack usually besides the furioso and dreadnought for heavies.
Sigh i miss the day of rolling all blood rages for my angels and stomp some imperial guard..... on turn 2 he was basically dead.... Ah the good ol days of blood angels potentially the fastest army in the game back then
How are they now i havent really played 4th edition much, and never played the new edition (5??)

It takes some skill to lose with them. In my experience anyway.

They are overall pretty good. They can have some fun fluffy lists that do really well, and I've seen about 4 completely different tournament lists that have all had a winning record.

Death Company lists are indeed fluffy, but sadly they can mostly only play for draws. I find them just too small of a model count to table opponents for the W's. I want to have an epic Blood Angel fight sometime Ian.

Sounds good Frizzel. And we could totally make it work fluff-wise too because I'm thiking of doing up my successor chapter to be on the edge of falling to Chaos so I can play either the Blood Angels list or a Chaos Marines list.

It could totally be a three way with my Blood Angels. Or a two on one, since you have so ridiculously many, and Friz and I but few.

Sorry to revive and old post can i join on this too:D . Jon (friz) i just ordered 4 assault boxes and the blood angels battle force, and the 40k starter set (need a paper rulebook that is easy to carry. 4" binder or laptop is pretty bad especially if you play at a GW store).
