Casting

I did a casting a while ago of a Space Marine jump pack and it was full of voids and such. Since I'm planning on doing more jump packs and probably other things, I'm thinkng of investing in building a vacuum degasser.

It'll be a month or so because of money and such before I get the thing built, but does anyone have any requests for cast resin objects?

I imagine possibly some bits that seem to be in demand every so often, like meltaguns or other certain weapons?

yeah... it seems like there's never enough meltaguns or plasma guns lying around. Especially with the ability to use two in each assault squad, but I suppose that's GW's way of saying we should buy more box sets.

ooo... almost forgot, senic bases would be really easy to do as well. Easier, in fact than the bits... not that I'm not going to do the bits...

Ian I actually have a couple of scenic bases I got at adepticon this year. Next time I'm in town I can bring those if you'd like to check em out.

Sounds good, I'm actually going to be at a tournament at the bunker this coming saturday. Perhaps I can come out to dekalb that night afterwards, otherwise it may be a few more weeks til I do....

Just finished assembling the six inch tall Space Marine statue from the honoured Imperium scenery pack. first look: Impressive. put an actual space marine next to it: More Impressive.

There is some gap filling needed. minor gap filling, but I want it to be perfect when I cast it in plaster and paint the copies up to look like marble. Also I kinda want to make a Chaos version. I suppose I could always order a second set.....

things ready to be molded:

defense line: about 24 inches or so with one convex 60 degree bend, one shorter concave 60 degree bend, and one straight piece.

set of tiles for the cathedral floor, some ruined.

Would a fortress of redemption be something you'd be interested in for this Ian?

*twitches like a crack addict* quite possibly, yes. probably cast it in sections.

Also I have some 6 inch long versions of the bike bases set up to be molded to aid in making things like rubble sections, razor wire, baricades, tank traps, etc.

Well if you want to cast it yeah I can let you borrow it for that, I have only assembled some of it. It shouldn't be too difficult to take back apart. Otherwise I'd sell that, I don't really have that much of a use for it since I won it lol

Now we's talkin. I'll bring it at any rate this weekend for ya, along with the IG. I can't wait to give them a new home, and give my shelf new toys.
