Well another AWC tournament has been done and finished, and the following are the overall point totals plus standings. (Overall score this time was Battle Points and Painting only, no sportsmanship).

I'm the only one with fewer than 3 events played in the top ten, so I'm hopefully going to make the final x amount of players that get invites to adepticon this year. I really want to go.

Looks like you, Alex, and Steve Conradi are tied for average points per tournament at 24, the highest.

Yeah, I've had one overall win. Steve I think had one best general, and alex has had at least one overall win plus probably a paint or two perhaps. Those add some points to your tournament placing scores too. Alex's average is just over 24, so he's probably going to hang on to that top spot for a while, unless he misses more tournaments. I think too after the series is done, they take like your best 8 scores or something? I'm not too sure on all the specifics.

What'd you play against for such an easy win this time around?

Um it wasn't an easy win this time around. I got lucky. First round was a sketchy Blood Angels list that I destroyed piecemeal as it hit the board. Second round I actually "lost" against Greg Swanson's all bike marine list. He got primary, I got everything else so him 25 points, me 23. Going into the last round there were 3 people at 73 battle points and me at 71. So it was really close. Then I played against a space wolves list that I beat, albeit barely, through attrition. Thunderwolf calvary, razorbacks, and long fangs are what's carrying the space wolves to the wins there lately it seem. It is indeed a pretty solid list even without special characters aside from Cannis. It ended up being closer going into the third round than I thought it'd be, and had to make the best of it and did. =)

Two tournament straight I've played against just about the identical space wolf list. I'm getting a little tired of seeing thunderwolf calv.

Otherwise, LOL that's why I hate playing at AWC. They claim to be playing for fun and don't care about winning they're not trying to get anything from it, yet it's all about winning because they're all vying for seats at Adepticon and etc. Have I seen fun lists there? Never, always optimized (except for Florido, but his armies are awesome no matter what). Any silly missions? Never, always standard with little bits put in like any other high-power tournament. And now when they're trying to get such missions in, people don't want them. They want the same boring standard so they can take the same army and list, every...single...time...

Speaking of missions. Remember when we were toying around with the idea of giving each player a number of Large Blast templates to use at like S:9 Ap: -......the last mission had every turn scattering S:10 AP: 2 templates.....and they said they playtested.
