I really need to settle on an army for the Cheddar Bowl, so I have been playing with various lists trying to incorporate what I have finished and what I am interested in painting. In the end, I decided on the theme of Golgfag's Mercenary army because of the Ogre Kingdom fluff and that he was originally a RoR unit for DoW. This is version 1.0. There are still some areas that I may change; mainly whether or not I will go with the second bruiser or do a butcher instead for a little magical support. I may also swap the two cavalry units that are allies for Oglah Khan's Wolfboyz as an ally. Overall, the army gives me a nice DoW feel while allowing me to include some of the OK units I have worked on.

I like the list. I would use the wolfboyz to me they seem a little more fluffy. Not that fluff matters especially if you are aiming to win.

Golgfag? Is that a real name from the game? Short answer - Yes In 5th edition, Golgfag was a regiment of renown unit in the Dogs of War army. Nothing about his rules were particularly spectacular, but his fluff was pretty cool. When the Ogre Kingdoms book was released, there is a section on him and where he has been since the DoW book. Specifically it talks about him becoming a great mercenary general and becoming so rich that he has begun to hire other mercenary bands and ogre units. Thanks to the Cheddar Bowl, I can now field his army to match the fluff. With regards to the list, I need to make a couple of changes. One is I need one of my bruisers to become a BSB since the original fluff references Skaff, Golgfag's loyal BSB. Not sure what standard I will give me, but I can work it out after I model him.
