You and I are now going to play nothing but Cities of Death. Perhaps it will even get me to paint my IG in urban fatigues...lol...
Also, looks alright. With IG I feel it's handy to have the basic squads outfitted the same or with certain variations; of course, what you have can pretty much take on anything as well. It's also a good idea to give each a relative theme or purpose, so that you don't get confused mid-battle and don't know what to do with your squads. To streamline it a little bit, you could go with the following:
Company Command - Lascannon, Sniper, MOO
Platoon 1 Command Squad - Vox, 2 Flamers, Heavy Flamer, Plasma Pistol Squad 1 - Vox, Flamer, Heavy Bolter Squad 2 - Vox, Flamer, Heavy Bolter Squad 3 - Vox, Grenade Launcher, Missile Launcher Heavy Weapons Squad - 3 Mortars
Platoon 2 Command Squad - Vox, Mortar Squad 1 - Vox, Grenade Launcher, Autocannon Squad 2 - Vox, Grenade Launcher, Autocannon Squad 3 - Vox, Grenade Launcher, Missile Launcher Heavy Weapons Squad - 3 Missile Launchers
Veteran Squad - Plasma gun, 2 Flamers, Lascannon
That was just a simple rearrangement of the weapons you've chosen already. You want the guns you want to have hit in squads that can actually hit; ie the veterans and the company command squad, which are both BS 4. It really starts to matter with IG. 1st platoon is obviously more aggressive and anti-infantry; if possible, it's good to have them advance with the veterans onto objectives.
2nd platoon is more the fire-base with decent anti-light/medium armor weapons, and the company command should sit around them and provide them orders and more guns.
With the Infantry squads, never be afraid to move them if it means getting closer to game objectives. Just because you gave them a heavy weapon doesn't mean it should be firing every turn; if you do that and you end up being out of place by the end, well tough beans.
And remember, Cities of Death doesn't quite follow 5th edition 40k. Line of sight can be blocked quite easily, and cover is even more rampant than normal games. Flame and blast weapons are better friends, most of the time.

Yeah, I made the list not taking into account the fact that I have the extra heavy weapons from the Heavy Weapons Squad that's on order to play with.
The Veteran Squad is the way it is because of the models I have. I used the older Storm Troopers and was originally going to use them as a scout squad for Space Marines last year and had converted one to be holding a missile launcher. I like the conversion so I decided to keep with it. I was figuring on them being a squad to rush up in the chimera, jump out, burn whatever is sitting in cover on an objective and take over, holeing up with the missile launcher to be a niusence.

Wow, that sounded bitchy and like I was ignoring your advice... sorry. long day.
I'm thinking I wouldn't mind being able to field a full regiment with a tank company or two and some more super heavies.... Forgeworld may one day own my soul *sigh*.
Anyway, I'm happy that I'm able to field this size force with a scrounge through my bitz box and a minimal amount of purchases.
I'm looking forward to lots of templates raining down and scattering wildly around your troops.

Arg. got sucked into going through Dave Taylor's blog after looking for his 33rd Grenswick Rifles (because, yes, I am possibly that insane to do something similar). After seeing his Blood Pact army as well, I may have to give the Psyker squad a shot (y'all know how I roll... I'm likely to roll a lot of AP 1 & 2 S9 large blast templates... at least until the squad gets blown to pieces).
Looks like I've got a use for all of those Chaos Cultists lying around.

And did some more digging and came up with another tank body of the siege variety. Probably go Medusa with it. So with that and why not toss in a Penal Legion squad, I'm 25 points shy of 1850... once the heavy weapon squad shows up.
gotta love bouts of insomnia.

So you're going to make them Traitor Guard style? Because that would be cool.

Oh yeah Traitor Guard FTW.. I can't believe I just said FTW... and I'm basing the Medusa on the Fantasy Hellcannon, including the Chaos Dwarf crew. oh yeah, Chaos Squats!
Would it be possible to use the Codex: Eye of Terror Lost and the Damned in friendly games?
Off topic: I found my last old metal spawn body and the feet that go with it. Will make a mold before I give you the original. Spawn-riding rough riders anybody?

Haha, nice. As for the EoT book, I liked it. Since most likely it'll be you and I playing for a while, suresies. Oh, and now I should come up with a cityfight campaign for us to battle in...

Bwahahaha! campaign! That sounds great.
Also, upping the Medusa to a Collossus after talking to Jim today.

Yea, the Colossus is a bit better, as it ignores cover and most armor. However, it does have a decent minimum range, and since it can never fire directly, it cannot move and fire like other artillery pieces. But still, the big C hurts.

Everything has a base.. or a hull, in the case of the vehicles... except the mortar squad which isn't here yet.
in 1850 pts., I have 13 scoring units... I'm sure most won't survive to the end of the game.
The question becomes, do I paint them really fast to be paited in time for the tourney, or should I go batshit crazy with the conversions?

Well we don't require it all to be painted for our tournaments...plus you only have to have 1500 points ready by then. I say convert!

I thought that the tournies were 1850 pts. Ah well. 1500 is good too. I checked out the Renegades ad Heretics list. might try that next week. Bought a Hellhound tonight, which I can probably set up as either another Chimera, one of the Hellhound varients or possibly another artllary piece.
Arg, what was the other thing you told me to check out?

Ok, last one... I swear... maybe.
HQ 150 Company Command Squad Carapace Armour Lascannon Team Master of Ordinance Officer of the Fleet
Elite 185 Storm Trooper Squad Airborn Assault 2 meltaguns
Troops Infantry Platoon (445) 40 Platoon Command Squad Autocannon Team 55 Squad 1 (combied with Squad 2) grenade launcher 50 Squad 2 lasguns 60 Heavy Weapons Squad Mortars 60 Heavy Weapons Squad Mortars 90 Heavy Weapons Squad Missile Launchers 90 Heavy Weapons Squad Missile Launchers 140 Veteran Squad - Grenadiers 2 Flamers Heavy Flamer Missile Launcher Carapace Armour 130 Veteran Squad - Demolitions 3 Meltaguns 1 Demolition Charge Melta Bombs
Fast Attack 130 Vendetta 130 Vendetta
Heavy Support 95 Hydra Camo Netting 95 Hydra Camo Netting
I'm going to see how this does against Jim tomorrow. The idea is to have the Demolitions Vets and the Storm Troopers in the Vendettas. The Infantry Platoon is for sitting on objectives, the combined squad is to take advantage of a really nasty First Rank Fire! Second Rank Fire!
I wish I had space for another infantry platoon and a second Command Squad.

Haha, don't we all. It's looking better, and having the dudes in the vehicles is a good choices.

I'm assuming that the Grav Chute Insertion's "deploy as if they were deep striking." works with the Storm Troopers' Airborne Assault re-roll the deep strike scatter.
I'm really rather iffy about the Hydras. they're cool looking and would probably take down some light tanks/skimmers, but the 190 points could probably be better spent on sentinels or a Russ of some variant. I dropped the vox network mostly because my dice rolls are either going to suck or not and I'd probably end up putting the orders on the Heavy Weapons Squads more often than not.
