Ok I dont know if anyone other than me has read the silmarillion but if you have let me have your feedback on this. In the silmarillion Balrogs of Morgoth appear frequently...I was wondering if anyone knew of their numbers. Morgoth uses them in his armies so I always assumed that there were a decent number...not like thousands of them but maybe like 100 of them, enough to be an extreme presence on the battle fields. They are mentioned in I think almost every battle in that book and most notably in the Destruction of Gondolin. If anybody has any input on this let me know cause i would like to hear what other LOTR fans think.
