For our next tourney I was wondering if people would want to do another highlander tournament. It seems that people liked it the first time we did it and its a good first tourney for new recruits next semester. Let me know what you guys think and when we should do it.

I would be up for that format!! Sunday and Saturdays seem to be decent days to hold the tourneys as the mini tables are terribly crowded.

ok well We'll probably look towards the end of January so we can see if the new recruits are willing to play by then. im sure we can convince bear to have others in the meantime

Highlander is 15 pt lists with:
1 caster/lock
1 heavy jack/beast
1 unit w/ ua or wa (not both)
1 solo or light/lesser warbeast for hordes for balance of fury management
for example:
Lylyth +6
striders w/ ua-9
scythean-9
shredder-2
or
Stryker +6
ol Rowdy-9
stormblades w/ ua-8
jr-3
what I mean about not both UA or WA means tht a unit of trenchers can either chose to take the LT and sniper UA or up to 3 grenandiers for a WA

i was thinking of doing this in February since January is Mangled Metal. I'm thinking 15 pts again and 2 lists format. Maybe this time do scenarios instead of straight caster kill as well. Let me know what you guys think.

I don't know why don't we try a standard 2 list format? I mean we haven't ever done one of those? We could make it something small like 25 or 15. I mainly say this cause if anything for newer people since they should be learning standard and would hopefully be comfortable with a no restriction environment.

Ok that's cool. I guess people were liking the fun formats but we can run a straight 35 pt two list steamroller if thats what people are looking forward to more. I'll talk to Bear about his availability in February this week
