I was wondering how many people would like to run a tier IV tournament sometime in the future since everyone has their army books out currently (minions will be fairly soon). I'm thinking one tier IV list per person @ 50 pts. Let me know what you guys think.

It would make Robbie happy as he loves his Tier 4 eKreoss list.
I might be willing to do it depending how the minion book pans out.

They talked on one of the web site doing a tourney in this format. It was popular but instead of making it madatory to have a tier IV list the tier was used as one of the tie breakers.
So if me and Brian were tied in Wins, Objectives, then instead of going to kill points or strength of schedule we would use the tier level to determine the tie break. So if I was running a tier one list and Brian the tier four he would have the breaker.
I like the idea... not sure about a fifty point list though. May limit rounds.

I feel like this could be fun. The only reason I see doing it at 50pts, is that's pretty much the game size needed to make most of the tier4 lists in all the books. Some lists can do it at 35pts, but not many. I suppose we could do this. I think I can only do one or two of the lists. If this were, again, after xmas, I could do eLylyth, as I am trying to make her T4 list.

Yea it wouldnt be for a while. Gregs idea seems good to as far as going for how far you can with the tiers. Ok so maybe use tiers to as much as you can and you get bonus points for each tier you do possibly

I would be up for it but am more comfortable at 35 points. This way you can still get a tier four list but have to think hard on what you want.
Also if you don't like buying mulitple of certain units you can still get a tier one or two list and still be eligable. As the tier is a tie breaker it is important but not earth shattering. And tier rank is sooo much better as a third tie breaker than strenght of schedule!!
Anyway I am a fan of this at 35 but would be willing to do it at 50.
