Sorry - Cut/Paste the title.
Anyways, what slot does the Tau Remora take up on the force chart? Thinking about getting a couple for a future NIMGC tournament since you guys allow FW stuff.

Remoras are 110 points for a Fast Attack slot. Can take them as a squadron of 1-2 per slot. They have a twin-linked long-barrelled burst cannon, 2 seeker missiles, a network markerlight, targeting array, and stealth field generator. However, being flyers and having 3 structure points, they aren't allowed in our tournaments . We stick to alternative unit choices, so like the Piranha TX-42 or XV-9 Close Support Armor are acceptable.

Darn it. I only had an old playtest copy and they were neither in that if I recall correct. Thanks, just saved me from making a purchase.
So alternative suits, tetras, sensor drones, and sentry guns are cool. As are the kroot beasties, correct?

Sure, as long as it has no mass points or is Gargantuan.
The current rules for the Remora are in Imperial Armor Apocalypse. The CSA suit I mentioned above is in IA: Apc 2. Now that is a pretty awesome piece (and they're 1-3 per unit!).

Ok, so not a Tau player and never plan on being one, but have a few questions about the stealth fighter drone thingy...
1) I looked at the entry in the IA: Apocalypse book. Where does it say that it has 3 structure points?
2) Being a flyer, is the stealth spotting range (the 2D6x3) also reduced by 12 inches?
Also, I would like to rant that it being a Flyer and not Vehicle (Flyer, Hover Mode) is bull. It's a drone. It should be able to skimmer around like other drones.

1) Somewhere on the page, most likely in the entry. Scour that thing!
2) I...don't know. I don't think it would because the Flyer rule reduces a weapon's range and not any sight range by 12", but it would be good to confer with some other talking heads. [edit] No dice, buster!
