Though details have not been given. More than likely it will be a
5$ entrance or 15$ purchase day of.
Hopefully one of our guys can take the the overall champion this month...last two months the same out of towner has won...though he is a nice guy I would rather see one of our own win it.

You may want to put an addition to whatever post we have floating around on the PP forums. There was a great deal of confusion last tournament about painting no longer counting and what coin set we were using. (It went from both, to the champion deciding, to both again during the tournament). While I don't really care what the rules are - and I'm willing to bet no locals really do - the out of towner crews were getting a little fiesty over such details.

I know the details need to be hammered out with OBG! but I can never get them to reply to my posts on their forum. Vic, if you talk to John try to get him to give you as much information and make it a standard thing every month.

here are the details of this tournament
Sorry guys... I've been letting this slip. No MORE! Here's the tourney.
OBG's "Victory from Hill to Valley"
Starts at 12:00pm Saturday, July 28th.
Point size = 500 pts
Cost = $8 or $20-purchase
Round length = 1 hour
There will be no bonus points awarded for fully painted armies this tournament. Instead there will be a best-painted award given at the end judged by the store. In order to qualify for this you must have at least one fully painted list. This must be one (or both) of the two lists that players may bring. Only one list will be judged. Standard points will be used (5 for win, 3 for draw, 1 for loss).
Round 1: King of the Hill
Round 2: Pit Fight
Round 3: Killing Field
Round 4: Most VP's win (if 9+ people)
HORDES and WARMACHINE mixed tournament. Two printed lists allowed.
PRIZES:
1st = champion coin + faction coin + $20 store credit
2nd-4th=choice of coin
Top of Faction: Faction certificate
Best Painted: hordes or warmachine T-shirt (player choice)
(Coins available: Hordes Champion, Skorne, Orboros, Protectorate, Khador)

I'm glad to see the cost to attend has increased. After finding out how much those coins cost I felt like I was taking advantage of the OBG institution.

had a small turnout but it was fun none the less...
results are as follows:
1st: Adam and the Protectorate
2nd: Vic with Cygnar
3rd: Mike with Everblight
4th: Alex with the Circle Orboros
hopeto see more people at the next tournament...keep checking the boards in the future for more info

For the record, next time you guys are short one for a tournament - please only one of you call me. I don't need messages from like three of you. I did feel loved, though.

Whatevah! We were trying to wake you up! Still asleep at noon... roustabout...
Oh, and I looked it up, yeah, you are right about the shield bonus existing when someone is knocked down. I know that you know you are right.
Doesn't make sense to me, though, as one who is knocked down could not manuver their shield to block blows very effectively... Especially one who is a barely sentient metal giant.

Yup, it's in the FAQ. Like I said before, I also made a thread about it when I first got Darius. Similarly, the Shock Shield still retains its auto-cortex damage when knocked down as well.
