A new guy looking to get into the hobby

I am not sure if starting a new thread about this was the right thing to do but here it is.
I am currently living in DeKalb going to...surprise, surprise NIU. I have been doing a lot of research and I want to get into the Warhammer 40k. I have heard about it and watch a lot of YouTube vids about the game it something that I am defiantly interested in. I have yet to buy an army let alone the rule book but I would love to get some incite and information about the game.
Also I was wondering if I could be so bold and ask if I could visit you all this Thursday at New Game In Town, just to see what its all about and pick you mind. Thank you for your time.

Any questions you have feel free to ask...whether on here or at our meetings. Of course you are welcome to attend thursdays meeting. Someone will be able to help with any questions you have. Thats what the club is here for. I suggest asking for Andrew our current club secretary ( He posts on here as...Andrew).
