They are spectacular and their models keep getting better but I dont think this trend is going to save fantasy in this area.

It's like 5th edition child-like art, and doesn't hold a candle to the last two covers.

I just wonder how much they are going to sparkle. I don't know too much of their rules. BUt i do know they did get rid of the wraith blades and just gave the units Killing Blow.

They didn't really change that much. They got some new units and their spells changed slightly.

So has anyone played them or against them yet? Wondering what to look out for. May go to the bunker this Saturday and I'm wondering how stupid or broken they are. Cause we all know all the bandwagon players already have them. It's the newest codex it has to be the best...

Vampire lords are ridiciously expensive, I thought a chaos lord was i was mistaken.
A Strogi lord seems pretty badass. I'd take a Strogoi Lord and a Necro lord if i could. a level 4 Vampire is 565 (260 magic items + gifts) + 105 for a level 4 is expensive....
Now I know why you took Vlad.

Egh, they're only 15 more than they were before. Everything else is the same  . When you remember they can fill up their Core with 3-5 point mooks, it balances out nicely. Yea, Vlad is pretty sweet for his points. Taken with Isabella, and they tear up the house. |

I'd go with a strogi ghoul king and give him the ASF ability, WHen you kill you make another attack (don't stack), 4+ward/heavy armor, and +2 attacks.
Then take a level 4 necro if i could.
