Hey I brought out some terrain and figures to the store last week to see if anyone was interested and it was pretty popular. Will be bringing it back this week along with... the rule book!! no more quick start rules for us!
For those who may be interested Infinity is a anime inspired (at least the models) science fiction skirmish miniature game. Turn order is active/reactive player so there is no down time from the standard I Go/You Go format.
There is a decent level of detail to the rules and the action is quick as you have to watch lanes of fire as if you move in the sight of your enemy they can pop off at shot a you.
The start up cost isn't terrible. Starter boxes run about $40 and Bear is checking to see if his distributor can get these. Single figures range in price from $8 to $40 for large figures or box sets. Generally you will be playing with 5-12 figures depending on the faction.
If anyone is interested in playing I have some Infinity figures to see and will be there on Thursday (in between kicking Simpson's butt in Warmachine!)... still working on painting them but you can proxy to get a taste of the rules and test out different factions.

I can understand that situation! You can always proxy 40K, Warmachine, or Dust figures so you can see how it plays. This way if you want to get in it you will know what to buy.

Hey Greg. Ted and adam were saying you were going to run an intro league or campaign for the game. Was wondering if there was any more thought into that?

I am thinking we may try doing a slow-grow/escalation league for Infinity in the near future, Say December through January or something like that.
The only problem with an Infinity League or tourney is our lack of terrain. I have just enough to do one table and I have started collecting cans and other junk to start buliding more for maybe a second 4' x 4' table but we really need to have enough for at least three tables.
If we did a Tourney or demo day I can call in the guys from Games Plus to come on out. Between them they have enough terrain for about five tables if I remember correctly.
Once we finish with the Journeyman league and the Food drive event I will start thinking about Infinity slow grow.
If that doesn't fly I may do a Paradiso thing... once I get the book!!
