Hello Frankfort... is anyone still playing 40k?

Well, I'm going to be moving very close to Frankfort (living in Lockport for 3 more weeks, then moving to new Lenox) and I'm hoping there are still some people who want to play some games of 40k.

I just picked up the new 6th edition rules last weekend.... Anyone want to get together and discuss the new changes or play a game?

Our club members play at each others houses about once every 6-8 months (when the planets align)

a few of us frequent The Dragons Refuge (TDR) in Peotone, I can not guarantee a game but once you get to know the people you can start scheduling games with locals (they have a facebook page)

I personally play fantasy more but dabble in 40k (I like large apoc games – pushing 10k of each daemons and IG) and Hordesmachine

I really can’t schedule to games myself because I am currently working 7 days a week

Sean S on the forum has many contacts with the Peotone store for setting up 40k games

I actually used to go to the dragons refuge on a weekly basis before I moved.

I know who Sean s is, ( its been a while, but I'm sure he would remember me too from my FnM days)

Is it safe to assume the other guys are Randy and Brian?

Maybe I should head up to DR one of these days and see who I still know up there.

Bryan plays BFG but is mainly a MTG player

Sean still plays blood angels but right now is into fantasy more

Scott E. has chaos, Eldar, Space Marine, space wolfs -this is who I enjoy playing against, has a laid back play style like me, win or lose, just have fun

Ryan is a new necron player but I have not seen in a while

there is also a small group of people, cant remember names that played a couple of times with (Apoc and Fantasy) - Scott E. knows them

Names and faces don’t go well with me, so I would probably remember you if I saw you, Kinda coming back but not sure if you’re the person I am thinking of

Like I said in previous post, been busy, have not had time for miniature games, mainly playing mtg when I have a chance, been gaming once or twice a month, not the twice a week like I used to

I'm glad to hear there are some laid back people playing. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm the big guy with long hair, big beard, and nose and lip rings. I'm sure you'll remember my face if you don't remember that description lol

I've got quite a bit of 40k models. Somewhere around 8k in CSM and 3k each of both Tau and necrons.

I may be around this Sat at the Shop, I would not mind fumbling though a game of 6th, I will know later in the week, I only have to work 6 am to noon, will keep touch, should know by Fri

we will be using one of the back rooms because the front tables will be used for a Hordesmachine Tourney

Not sure start time or how many points yet, more info will available closer to weekend

I think all the GW fanboys from the shop will be going to Gamesday in Chicago, I will talk it over with them to see if anyone is not going and willing to meet up with U for a game

The 28th is Gamesday and the TDR Realms (Gaming Lock-in) so I dont know if people are going to be playing 40k this weekend

Starting this Saturday (11th) I'll have a full week off work.

If anyone wants to schedule a game within that time period I'll definitely come out to play.... I'm gonna need a break from all the work I've been doing at my new place lol
