Hi all you Warmahorders! Back by popular demand is the Journeyman's Slo-Gro League. Standard meet up times will be on Thursdays 6:00 to 10:00 and Sundays 12:30-4:00ish. (if I am not there I will have someone there to register wins and paint points, It will probably be Jason.) Just a quick reminder to all those interested in the Journeyman's League; Week #1 starts this Thursday, October 4th.
If you wish to participate the cost is $5 to purcahse your scoresheet from Bear. I will have a folder by the Warmachine/Hordes whiteboard (downstairs, behind the counter) to hold your score sheets. Come in any day from Thursday till Wednesday to play a game and score the results yourself (3 points for a win, 2 points for a loss)
Week 1 battles are battle box only. For those shooting for painting honors show me the UNPANITED figure(s) before you start painting for the Journeyman. Show me the painted figure(s) at point during the 6 week season. I will be at the stores almost every Thursday (except the Thursday after Halloween) and most Sundays (if I am not there then Jason should be able to help)

Priming figures is perfectly fine.
The goal is not to have player sneak in painted or close to completely painted figures for points. The paint award and slo-gro format encourages particpants to paint the figures they are using as they grow the army.
In any case feel free to prime and those will be allowed.

Thanks to all who came out last night and got the Journeyman League 2012 off to a great start!
We have 15 participants in the league right now and may get another 2 players in before all is said and done. That makes quite a big field and gives everyone a great number of different people to play against.
We have a really good selection of armies in the league:
3 Menoth
3 Khador
2 Cygnar
2 Cryx
2 Legion (possibly adding a 3rd)
2 Circle
1 Skorne
Hopefully everyone had a good time on the kickoff night and remember Jason will be at the store this Sunday to take scores and record painted figures. Please note that this weekend is a Magic release weekend and Bear is expecting big numbers. This may ease by Sunday but it is anticipated it will be cramped so it might not be possible to get games in on Sunday. Jason will be there from 1:00 pm (maybe a wee bit earlier) till around 3:00 if games can be played.
Finally next Thursday we bump up to 15 points with players still using the contents of their battle boxes.

For those going to game on Sunday, October 21st please note that there is a 40K tourney happening that day.
They should be there early but just in case please pull one of the gaming boards out and leave the green gaming tables for their tournament.
In other news... we are halfway through the journey man league are are adding a couple of new players so we are hovering at around 16 players. This week is 25 point armies still using battle box. Next week (10/25) will be 25 point armies using battle box contents but you may swap casters. The following week (11/1) will be 35 point armies using battle box contents but you may still swap casters. The final week (11/8) will be 35 point armies and anything goes, no restrictions on what you can use.
Even though the league will end 11/14 we will be hosting a 25 point tournament for league participants on Thursday, Nov. 15. There we will hand out league awards and everyone will be able to take part in a Steamroller style tournament. Please see the details below and let me know if you have any questions.
25 point modified Steamroller for Journeyman League players
Cost: $5
When: Thursday, Nov. 15. Starting at 6:15 Sharp!
What: 2 list 25 point Steamroller, no character restrictions, no reinforcements, timed turns, top table plays for 1st-2nd place.
We are looking at a minimum of 3 rounds but will play till there is a clear cut (undefeated winner).
